Looking forward to the experience

We now have put up the tent! Yeehaa
Coleman Montana 12CV Family tent
Thanks for your wonderful service with the delivery of our tent recently.
How great.
It was a quick deliver.
The size is exactly what we were after, the color blends in to the country side, it took us 40 minutes to erect first time but with us both having a go that would easy cut down to 20 minutes,,,were happy with that. take down time was 15 minutes packed away and ready to go.
Yeehaa!

Impressed with features like the added air vents and believe these will help with condensation over winter. the floor material is not what we are used to, but love it.
Very please with the coziness for winter and the idea of no fly for summer...while still maintaining privacy. plenty of room to put in two single stretchers with space to walk.
We have had many tents over the years and this one is easy to put up, with the color coded sleeves and posts. and the weight is easy for us to carry together.
And finally, the added verandah's - great.

Thanks Team.
And thanks for the newsletters.

Looking forward to the experience

Thanks for your quick delivery, this looks the best tent for us to retire with.
As yet, due to weather we haven't yet used it.
The color is great and blends into the countryside, not too dark interior and wonderful features.
Thanks SNOWY

Great Quality

We purchased this tent after losing our oz trail latitude in strong winds only after the second use. This tent is much better quality. So far we are very happy.

Brilliant!!!!

I have had this tent for about 8yrs and it is just fantastic. Its been in torrential rain and can withstand winds beyond belief. Can't fault it. Plenty of room for kids to play as well. If you are reading this with the intent to purchase, just buy one (you won't be disappointed)!!!!!

Enough space for a double height queen bed1 answer

Hi, I wanted to find out if there would be enough space to fit a double height queen bed in the end rooms?

- Cheltenham (1 month ago)

G'day Claire,

Great question, normally I would try this one out for you but I don't have a Montana up to be able to try it. I'm fairly certain you'll be fine to fit the Queen Double High mattress in the end room though as I have a sneaking suspicion we used to have one up in our display model Montana a few years ago.

Montana 12 person or Northstar 10 person?1 answer

Hello I'm not so fussed about the dark features of the Northstar I just want a tent that would comfortably fit 5 stretchers in it. We have the Coleman instant 8 person and that really only fits in 3 stretchers comfortably

- Mont Albert North(1 month ago)

G'day Jacinta,

You should be fine in either of these tents, but the Coleman Montana 12 CV Family Tent will have more internal space so would probably my choice

boab geo 6+2 vs Coleman Montana 12CV1 answer

Hi, We are considering to buy a family tent which should accommodate at least 6 people. We have stayed in boab geo (6+2) and coleman instant tent earlier, but very new to the Montana Series. We are also considering Coleman's Northstar darkroom and weather master. Any suggestions on which is the best buy based on sturdiness and space?

- Preston(3 months ago)

G'day Sona,

Whether you go for the Coleman Montana 12 CV Family Tent or either the Instant Up Northstar or Weathermaster, you'll be happy with the amount of space all 3 provide. The Montana is probably the most sturdy of the 3 but also takes the longest amount of time to set up. The Instant Up will be the quickest to set up and will be the darkest inside if sleeping in is an important aspect for you. The Weathermaster will have the most bells and whistles, and will probably take a similar amount of time to set up as the Montana.

Is this an instant up tent1 answer

Is this tent an instant up tent

- Boddington (3 months ago)

G'day Shane,

The Coleman Montana 12 CV Family Tent isn't an instant up tent, no. It would take a good half an hour to get it set up compared to 10-15 minutes for a Coleman Instant Up Tent.

- Snowys(3 months ago)

How much space do you need to set up1 answer

I am setting up and I need to know dimensions

- Gold Coast (3 months ago)

G'day Joel,

To give yourself enough room to easily put up your Coleman Montana 12 CV Family Tent, I'd suggest you'd want a space of land about 8.5 x 5.5 m. That should give you enough space to get the tent up, along with guy ropes and the like.

Does this tent have enough ventilation to stop condensation inside when housing 6 people?1 answer

Does this tent have enough ventilation to stop condensation inside when housing 6 people?

- Swansea(4 months ago)

G'day Colin,

Most of the time, you'll have no worries with having enough ventilation inside the Coleman Montana 12 CV Family Tent. On those rare nights where conditions are perfect and you're battling a bit with condensation, then I'd suggest opening up a window or two to increase airflow and this should solve any issues you're having.

can you get replacement parts for the older Montana Deluxe?1 answer

Ours is probably about 7 years old, and needs a new fly and one yellow fibreglass pole. Can you supply these parts? Especially interested to see if the newer fly would fit on the older model.

- Baulkham Hills(7 months ago)

G'day Deborah,

From time to time we can get our hands on different spare parts from older models of tents but we can't always get them. Feel free to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and our customer service team can give you a hand with trying to track some down.

Flooring?1 answer

My friend has the chalet 9 and their floor is showing wear. Is the floor tougher in the Montana than the chalet?

- Highfields, Qld(3 years ago)
It's a different nicer feeling floor Fiona, but I wouldn't necessarily say it is more durable. The Chalet has a heavy duty PE floor which is tarp like material, the Montana on the other hand has a PVC coated Poly Oxford Nylon which has a softer feel but is equally as durable. The floor of a tent is usually the first thing to show wear, the best way to mitigate damage is to use a tarp or similar under the tent. These are cheap and easier to replace than a tent floor.

easy to set up?1 answer

How long on average does this take to erect?

- WARRIMOO, NSW(3 years ago)
Once you've had a few test runs Kirsty, I think it would be reasonable that with two people you could have this tent set up in around half an hour.

montana 12 or the brampton 3 room?1 answer

I know you have answered this for the other large Coleman styles (9 dome and 10 instant pop up) vs Brompton 3 room. just curious as to your opinion on the comparison of these two? Also is there much comparison in the packed sizes? will they still fit int he boot of the car? family of 5 (3 boys under 10).

- WARRIMOO, NSW(3 years ago)
I couldn't recommend one over the other sorry Kirsty, the Coleman Monatan is a tried and tested tent, whreas the Brampton is newer to us and has a durable feel to its construction. Packed sizes are similar as are the weights. The Montana has a larger central room and the Brampton has versatile options for awning setups. Personally I like the Outdoor Connection Tents for the durable feel of their fabrics. Sorry I couldn't give you any definitive features that may make the choice easier.

hi can you surply a flysheet only1 answer

I have a coleman montana 12 cv family tent and I'm in need of a complete new fly for it .can you surply this and provide a price aswell

- porirua wellighton new zealand.(3 years ago)
Hi Darren, we don't keep them in stock, but can get them from Coleman. They have them in stock and price is $299.99. Give us a call if you would like us to arrange one of these for you.
- Snowys(3 years ago)

hi is the tent fully waterproof or do you need a waterproof fly sheet1 answer

- MURARRIE, QLD(3 years ago)
This tent is fully waterproof with taped seams and a 3000mm rated fly so there's no need to purchase another fly sheet. Simply pitch utilising the guy ropes to ensure tension maintains a distance between the fly and the inner and it will keep you comfortable and dry.
