Camping on a hot summer night? Keep cool with a Tent Fan with LED Light from Companion. This easy to operate fan is ideal for use in tents, at homes or in caravans.
With soft foam fan blades, this fan is a safe and practical option compared to traditional metal or plastic blades - so it's a great choice for use around children. With two speed settings - high and low, as well as high and low light settings - you can adjust this fan to your set up.
The Tent Fan also comes with a multi-use mounting bracket which allows you to hang it up, or stand it on a table depending on which direction you need a breeze.
It also has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery so you don't have to deal with disposable batteries. For a cooler space on a hot night, the Companion Tent Fan with LED Light is just what you need.
Used it for three nights and it just kept going without any recharge. Quiet and easy to use
The light works great, but as others have mentioned, the fan emits a high pitched whine on the low setting. No issues on the high setting.
No other complaints other than it takes a while to charge back up to full. Hanger system is clever, and works well.
Bought 3 had trouble with one of the fans would not charge fully up, contacted snowys told them about the problem I was having with the fan after a few emails and a phone call it was all sorted out they sent a new out to replace the faulty one. I can’t thank them enough & the postage was so fast I live in western NSW & when you buy stuff online it normally takes at least a week or 2 before you receive the item but with snowys it only took a few days was very impressed.
Like the fan, my one is pretty much silent on low speed, the light is also good. It’s a bit heavier than I thought (I transport it on a motorcycle) careful how you do take it though because the switches can easily be turned on in the luggage (no main off switch) other than that on hot days, it’s great..
It seems to be designed to look good, not designed to work very well. The motor on low emits a high-pitched whine probably due to pulse-width modulation with 50% duty cycle to drop the speed, and on high the whine disappears but it doesn't push very much air around because the fan blades are far too small to do anything useful. The LED light works quite well, and works well even after the battery is too low to run the fan. The fan also doubles as a battery bank with a USB output. It charges by USB, so any USB power source will charge it e.g. battery bank or solar panel. I won't be using it as bought, but I might look at improving it by 3D printing new fan blades and investigating the suspiciously high power drain from the motor.
Thanks for sharing Joel, I'm sorry to hear you're not loving it though. We appreciate you leaving your feedback - for anyone looking for a new fan will find it really helpful. Cheers, Laine
got my fan today, charged it up and tested it out. The light output is great for use in a swag, but the noise of the fan motor on low is horrid. Its a whine/squealing kind of noise, and there is no way i would be able to sleep with that going on. But it doesn't do it on high. If it wasn't for the noise id be rather impressed
I'm sorry to hear that your new fan is making a bit of a racket on the low setting. During our video review, we didn't notice any excessive noise... so maybe something might be a bit skewiff with yours? If so, would you be able to send us an email ([email protected]), we'd like to do what we can to fix the issue. Laine
Great little fan, like the orange led as well to stop the bugs.
It would be perfect if you angle it so it doesn't just point down.
Mine kept working no probs after just over 10+ hrs on high. my cousins u beaut rechargeable fan died.
So happy with it I'm buying a 2nd for 2nd swag thanx snowys👍🏻
Great product. Purchased for the grand children to use in the van. Did a great job
It was very useful on a hot January weekend camp in keeping me cool overnight. You need to be pretty close to get full benefit. That was first time so still experimenting.
Will it still run when its on charge?
We don't currently have any stock available for me to physically check this, but I've spoken with a few of our sales staff and they all believe that the Companion Tent Fan can't be run whilst on charge.
Do you have any idea of how long it will run for on each set of batteries?
According to Companion, their Tent Fan with LED Light will run for 24 hours on the high setting, and 48 hours on the low setting for each set of new batteries you put in.
Just want to double check - is that 22cm circumference or diameter?
Sorry Lisa, seems we all need to take some geometry lessons. The whole fan unit has a diameter (not circumference or radius) of 22cm, and the actual fan blades are smaller with a 14 cm diameter. Sorry for the confusion.
Hi Lisa, I apologise about those missing specs - we’ll update them now that I’ve double checked the measurements. I've just measured it and the Companion Tent Fan with Light is 14cm high, and 22cm in circumference.
