In order to be successful as a franchise owner, we look for the following traits:

  • Passion for delivering the best customer experience to every customer.
You don’t need previous experience to own and operate a Snowys camping and outdoors business. You will receive all the training and ongoing support that you’ll need. Most important to the success of a Snowys store is the passion, effort and drive of the person running the business.
The investment required varies and depends on several factors including location, size, and function. However, the investment is in the range of $900,000 to $1.4M. This includes stock of between $750,000 and $1.2m, initial franchise fee, training, store fit-out, etc. to ensure you are set up to succeed. Ongoing service fees start at 4.5% of monthly sales increasing to 7.0% over three years.
We require franchise owners to work in their stores so as to be fully involved in the day-to-day operation of the business. A Snowys franchise is best suited to those who want to be actively involved in managing their store and we do not see it as a passive investment opportunity.
You will work closely with our team to ensure that you are fully set up for success before your store opens.

As part of this you will undertake a comprehensive training and induction program at our Keswick store & offices in Adelaide, where you’ll spend time with experienced members of our team as they take you through all aspects of running a Snowys store. You will receive a hard and soft copy of the Snowys Operations Manual which will form the structure of your classroom sessions.

You will also complete in-store training at Keswick ensuring you are knowledgeable and familiar with all aspects of day-to-day store activities.

Once your store is open, we will be there right alongside you to give you the best chance of success from the start. In the early stages when you’re more likely to need them, you will have our team at beck and call who will frequently visit you and/or contact you for ongoing training and operational support as needed. In addition, our Head Office team is always available to assist you with anything you need.
