Fast, convenient all-weather protection for couples on an outback adventure or campers looking to keep things simple. The OZtrail Ultimate All Weather Queen Stretcher Tent has been built around the popular Easy Fold Stretchers and offers the same comfort and ease of use with the addition of all-weather protection.
Perfect for quick stopovers or for use under a 4WD awning, the Queen All Weather Stretcher offers sleeping space for two and can be used as an insect dome on warm nights or provides full weather protection when the fly is thrown over the top as well as adding weatherproof storage in the vestibules and under the stretcher. The interior features a padded brushed polyester sleeping surface, interior pockets, and there is a mesh under-bed shelf for off-the-ground storage.
The folding action of the stretcher frame makes set up and pack down simple, so you can arrive at camp late and be on the road early, and the compact packed size makes it suitable for vehicles of most sizes.
For a simple all-in-one shelter that provides protection against bugs, wind, rain as well as maintaining comfort in a wide range of weather conditions, you can't go past the Ultimate All Weather Stretcher Tent from OZtrail.
This was an easy quick to
Put and fairly comfortable bed. Need a good sleeping bag in cold temperatures. Will add a little mattress next time. Good buy
I put a thin mattress in and it was so comfy
Plenty of headroom.
Seperate waterproof outer fly helps eliminate condensation issues.
Internal pockets for storage.
Loop on ceiling to hang light.
Above ground design eliminates cold transfer from ground.
Steel frame-it’s heavy, would’ve been better if it was aluminium.
Mesh is ‘not’ No See Um-it’s very transparent.
Fold up exposes mesh-I have concerns about it’s durability. Would’ve been better if mesh tent fully unzipped off the bed frame.
All in all this is a roomy stretcher tent that keeps me up off the ground without feeling claustrophobic inside.
The Oztrail Ultimate All Weather Queen Stretcher has a lot of great features going for it. For me, the main draw card was its unique and innovative design. The tent was built around the Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher - which, in my opinion, utilises one of the best designed stretcher systems on the market - hence it comes with all the benefits that a stretcher bed provides. It has ample head space which allows plenty of room to sit up in bed without touching the ceiling, and the tent fly creates a useful vestibule on either side which comes in handy to store your luggage or as extra leg space while getting changed in privacy. Positives aside, the tent could really use some improvements. I have only used the tent once and, on the first time closing a zipper, it separated... in my experience, it doesn’t seem to matter how careful you are when operating each zip, they will seperate occasionally. Additionally, some of the stitching seems to have already come loose along the centre support beam of the stretcher portion. These things in mind, the overall build quality of the tent seems average at best and the materials used don’t convey a quality feel. In conclusion, the Ultimate All Weather Queen Stretcher - along with a self inflating mattress - provided quite a comfortable sleeping experience and I’m sure that this tent would suit many people. However, I can’t say that I was one of those people and, if I had my time again, I would have gone a different route. I can’t help but have my doubts about whether it will hold up in rough camping conditions therefore, I will be looking to move it on in favour of something more ruggedly built.
Thanks for the fantastic review Andrew - really helpful for both us here at Snowys but for other customers looking for a new stretcher tent.
In regards to the fabric issues, are you able to send us a photo or two (email@example.com)? Our warranty team would like to take a look and work out a solution. Laine
The 4 joints (see the red-circles of my photo) are made by very soft aluminum. I broke 1 when I tried to pitch first time & then broke 2 few nights later. These joints have to be much more solid steel. I don't know why they made those with very soft metal which can be bended by just 2 fingers (yes, that soft).
I'm sorry to hear that Willie - this comes as a bit of a surprise because when we filmed the videos for this stretcher, we belted the absolute suitcase out of it... plus we've set one up in-store as a demo for customers - which is solid as a rock!
Something mightn't be quite right with yours or maybe we can provide some help on how to set it up? Either way, if you could send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a bit more information and a photo or two of the damage, our warranty team will take a look right away. Laine
Hi there, I was just wondering if two STS Comfort DLX Sleeping Mat LWs would fit into the Oztrail Ultimate All Weather Queen Stretcher side by side? Cheers
I've just had a bit of a look for you and unfortunately, you won't be able to fit two of the Sea to Summit DLX SI Sleeping Mat LW into the Oztrail Ultimate All Weather Queen Stretcher, they're just a little bit too big.
