There is a Mudgee for every season, the Coleman Mudgee C-3 sleeping is for the colder months.
With more wiggle room than its siblings, larger frames are accommodated for in a soft feel brushed polyester lining and shell, plus a contoured hood design to keep your head on the bag, and the bag off your face.
Full length zippers enable the bag to be used as a doona, and you can stash your head torch in an exterior accessory pocket to make it easy to find in the dark. Also featuring everything you would expect from a Coleman sleeping bag such as No-Snag zippers, and Roll Control™, the Mudgee C-3 represents fantastic value for money.
How wide is the bag when it's done up and does it have that soft material on the outside too? Thanks.
G'day Sandy,
The Mudgee C-3 is 84cm wide so I guess internally done up that'd be closer to 80cm with a girth of 160cm. It has the same brushed polyester material on both the inner and the outer so snuggly from any way you look at it!
How do you roll it back up and fit it in the carry bag?
Ahh this old problem! I know it comes rolled when you first buy it but abandon that idea, machines did it and us mere mortals must use other methods. The trick is, just stuff it in, rolling doesn't work with uncompressed fibres anymore so literally put the zippered bottom end in and stuff stuff stuff!
I'm 185cm tall, Would that mean I'm going to be squished up a little?
G'day Jacob,Â
I would say that at 185cm tall, you wouldn't be squished in the Coleman Mudgee -3 Sleeping Bag as this model is suitable for someone of your height.
Which one should I get, Mudgee -3 or Mudgee C5 for QLD warm climate...?? Need to get one for my son incoming camping event. Thank you
G'day Reni,
If the weather gets down to 10-15° then the Mudgee C5 would be suitable, but if conditions are going to be below 10° at night then the Mudgee -3 would be a better choice.Â
In general when you're out camping it's far easier just to unzip your bag if you're too hot, whereas if you're too cold there won't be much you can do about it - so I'd say that the Mudgee -3Â is slightly more versatile.Â
Ca I use it to Queensland warm climate...??
G'day Reni,
You absolutely can use this bag in warmer weather if that's your personal preference, or if you are a cold sleeper.
If you want to accomodate for conditions of 10° or under then this bag will be perfect, but if you're sure it's going to be very hot then you may want to go for a 5° rated sleeping bag.Â
Hi guy's, just wondering if this bag is suitable for camping along the murray on all, but the coldest winter nights
