I understand this is a wet meal. What is the advantage over a dehydrated meal? I assume this is slightly heavier but potentially more nutritious?
G'day Matt,
The difference is in texture and preparation time. Dehydrated meals take the boiling water time, and then the re-hydration time, which is often 10-15mins.
Wet meals are poured into a pan & heated, so will be ready to go in minutes. You'll also have the taste & texture of a 'normal' meal, where as dehydrated meals can be quite different.
Nutritionally it can be largely the same, but that very much depends on the dehydrated brand you go with.
What’s the shelf life
G'day Stephen,
The Offgrid range has a shelf life of 12-15 months from the date of manufacture.
