Yes, we'd recommend removing the hose when storing and transporting your BBQ so that it doesn't get damaged. You'll just need an adjustable shifter to remove/tighten the nut holding the hose to the BBQ fitting.

Yes, the Voyager BBQ Legs fold up for transport. They don't come with a storage bag, but you can purchase one separately in the 'you might also like' section on the product page.

We're not overly familiar with the Weber Baby Q as we don't sell the Weber brand, but based on features they appear to be fairly similar. The Voyager gives you options to cook directly on the plate or grill, as well as closing the lid for oven type heating. The Baby Q appears to have similar options and features, however, in terms of overall sizes and usability, it's hard to say how they directly compare.

Yes, you should be able to cook a pizza in the Voyager BBQ using a Pizza stone, there is 14cm of depth in the lid, so you'll have plenty of height for toppings etc.

There is 14cm of heigh under the hood, so you can generally cook a butterflied roast or a mini-roast. The Voyager isn't designed to be used with two flat plates as there won't be enough airflow.

It's not something we'd recommend as the enamel coated cast iron might not survive the process. We'd recommend hand washing the plates as needed.

The Voyager should be ok to do pizza, there is a built in temperature gauge in the hood, and you can roast, so pizza should also be ok. Cake should be ok too, but you might have to have a few practices to make sure you get the temperature and timing right.

Gasmate doesn't specifically mention the flame safeguard, however, in the user manual, they do list that it is LPG Caravan bayonet suitable and is certified to Australian and New Zealand Standards. The best bet if you've got any questions will be to give Gasmate a call on 1300 174 876 and they should be able to verify any information you need or clarify any concerns you have.

The beauty of the Voyager is you can use it lid open or closed depending on what you're cooking and the outside temp. I find that I shut the lid on mine if I'm cooking in winter, just to help cook things through before they freeze!

Unfortunately not, the Voyage BBQ is just designed for use as a BBQ/grill plate. A kettle won't boil on the BBQ plate, and it may cause some damage to the plate or kettle. You could theoretically use the grill plate as is, to make toast.

The Gasmate Voyager BBQ is best suited to be used on metal tables, we'd suggest the Oztrail Slat Table, Zempire Slatpac Std or Lrg or the Outdoor Connection Fortis. The only legs available are the ones that are permanently attached to the BBQ that give it clearance between the bottom of the BBQ and the table you sit it on.

Good news, the Voyager BBQ comes with a hose that has an inline 2.75kPa regulator, so if you're wanting to run it off your motor home then you'll just need to use a gas hose with 3/8" SAE to bayonet fittings.

It's best not to put stoves or Bbq's on plastic for obvious reasons! A metal surface will be a much safer option you could look at a table like the Oztrail Slat table or a Zempire Slatpac or the Outdoor Connection Fortis table.

I've checked our display model and it does fit in the Medium Canvas Duffle Bag, it's tight but not too much of a struggle. If you were wanting to fit extra bit and pieces in, then the Large bag would give you plenty of room

The hose length is 110cm including the regulator.  In theory you should be able to connect this to you LPG set up at home, however you'll need to make sure you have the right fittings and also double check how your existing supply is regulated.  Not being able to see your set up in person, I'm hesitant to give you a clear indication either way.  I'd recommend you follow up with some advice from a gas fitter.

Thats a great question and we're not aware of anyone who's done it! In theory you could but I dare say it would be less efficient and take a longer time than a stove.  You best bet would be on the open grill side.  If you try it out, let us know how you go!

The Voyager Portable BBQ is not compatible with Coleman propane cylinders. The unit is supplied with a gas hose that has a POL fitting so it will fit your 9kg style gas bottles.

You should be able to cook a meatloaf inside the Voyager Portable BBQ, however please note you'll be limited by the hood depth of 14cm, so you will need a shallow pot to cook it in.

You'll be able to use the Voyager Portable BBQ with a 2kg gas cylinder, you'll just need to use a Gas Cylinder Adapter to connect the hose to the bottle.

The Voyager Portable BBQ is supplied with a hose that has a POL fitting on the gas bottle end. You'll be able to use this with a standard 4kg or 9kg gas bottle that has a POL fitting.

It's not a temperature control as such but more a valve control.  The dial controls the amount of gas being released and therefore, you can lower or increase the flame/heat output.  Instead of a numeric temp indicator, there are markings to show in which position the gas is increased and which its lowered.  Hope that helps :)

Hi Luke, you'd need a combination of adapters for this. I'll assume you are using a 9KG POL gas bottle (POL being the fitting for the gas bottle on the Voyager BBQ hose). 

If you firstly attach a dual outlet POL-POL adapter to your bottle (https://www.snowys.com.au/pol-cylinder-to-dual-pol-outlet) you'll be able to screw the Gasmate Voyager BBQ hose into one side. THen you'll need a POL-3/8 BSP adapter (https://www.snowys.com.au/gas-cylinder-adapter-pol-38-bsp-lh-straight) to go into the other side so you can attach your 2 burner classic stove. 

If your gas bottle has a 3/8 BSP fitting (the fitting for the gas bottle on your 2 burner classic stove) then you may need a combination of a double 3/8 BSP adapter (https://www.snowys.com.au/gas-cylinder-adapter-38-bsp-lh-to-double-38bsp-lh) and a 3/8 BSP -POL adapter (https://www.snowys.com.au/gas-cylinder-adapter-38bsp-lh-to-pol).

I do recommend that you take care when putting multiple adapters together as you are increasing the points in which leaks can occur. Always check for leaking gas with soapy water before lighting a flame and if in doubt, consult a plumber or gas expert.

We've just been in touch with the team at Gasmate, and unfortunately, there is no conversion kit available for the Voyager BBQ to use it on Natural Gas at home.

The burner is in the form of a long rectangular bar with flame release points along each length.  It is centred but not in the way a circular burner would be, instead the shape of it caters well for both grill plates.  The video (bottom right image) offers a good idea into what it looks like and how it operates.  Hopefully that'll help :)

Sure thing, Lyndal. The cooking area is half hotplate and half grill, with the total length being 46 cm, and the width at the widest point is a little over 33cm.

The hood of the Gasmate Voyager Portable BBQ is 14cm high, so it might be ok for a chicken or small turkey roll, but not a large roast.

I've not used one myself, but they have an output of 11000 BTU which is pretty reasonable for a small burner. There's a video you can watch on YouTube by clicking here of a chap demonstrating his, this might help give you an idea of the performance. Have a read of the customer reviews on our site as well, most people seem very happy with theirs.

I've just spoken to the team at Gasmate and they said that it hasn't been designed for use with the legs folded up and it wouldn't be advisable to cook with the legs folded.

I wasn't entirely sure on this one, so I gave Gasmate a buzz. They confirmed that the small fitting your referring to has an opening to allow oxygen to be sucked into the stream of gas to create the perfect mix of oxygen and LPG, creating a crisp blue flame. There's no worries about the opening as the pressure of the gas means that air is sucked into that space rather than gas escaping.

We, unfortunately, don't have a display model (or stock) currently for me to check this.

However, from memory, I'm almost sure that the Gasmate Voyager Portable BBQ has a drip tray at the base on the cover to catch what comes down through the grill. In saying this, it's still a fair effort, as it is with any open grill BBQ, to keep the casing clean.

I've just spoken with our Gasmate distributor again, and they've confirmed that unfortunately, there are no char grill hot plate options currently available for the Gasmate Voyager Portable BBQ.

An option, however, might be that you can get a replacement hotplate which as the same as what comes in the box, but we only have our one display model, so can't physically confirm whether you could sit two separate char grill halves side by side.

The Gasmate Voyager Portable BBQ has a POL fitting so it will fit directly to a standard 9kg gas bottle. Happy camping! 

Unfortunately, it doesn't include a carry bag Shandelle.

You could try something like the canvas duffle bag from Oztrail, the large size would be the best choice but it is a little large. Any other options are going to get a little expensive for a carry bag sorry.

**Update 18/2/19 - We've not got some Oztrauil Duffle Bags back in stock and the best size to transport the Voyager BBQ will be the Medium Duffle Bag.

I have just checked this out on our display model, and yes the legs of the Voyager Portable BBQ fold under, and the entire height of the BBQ with the legs folded is 28cm.

You can see what the burner in the Voyager Portable BBQ here, but it looks like you're not going to be able to put a kettle or fry pan on this BBQ as there wouldn't be anything to stand it on once you remove the grill.

The height of the dome/hood is 14cm so since it has a temperature guage, if you have a small roast, it should work fine!

There is no official recommendation for tools to be used with the Gasmate Voyager Portable BBQ, however, a good set of sturdy metal utensils should do the trick. Silicone doesn't tend to go so well with an open flame which you'll likely get through the grill.

Hi Miles. Unfortunately due to its burner design there are no after market stands to place a boiling pot or frypans on. For this type of design you may need to look more at one of the popular two burner ranges of stoves?

Howdy Miles. Yes the burner on this unit is two sided and runs the full length of the BBQ.

Howdy Miles. the burner on this particular BBQ runs the full length of the hotplate and grill as a single double sided burner. It is a low pressure BBQ with a POL fitting and a regulator included in the hose length that is suitable for any of the medium to large bottles with a POL fitting. Due to the design of the burner there isn't a stand available that can be used safely to place a kettle or boiling pot over once the hotplate and grill are removed. Cheers!

The Voyager Portable BBQ has a hooded lid and a temperature gauge so technically you could use it to roast or bake, though we probably wouldn't recommend using it to whip up a batch of muffins!
