The Proheat 2 Burner High Pressure Stove by Companion is for the culinary campers who go beyond campfire damper.
With a lower profile design that slots neatly in with your built-in kitchen, this stove meanwhile boasts a decent cooking area to cater for two large pots at once. Easily adjust the heat, and benefit from a total output of 35,000 BTUs.
A dual electric and piezo ignition makes for efficient lighting, while an LED light allows for better visibility for after dark cooking. With a BOM regulator and arm included, the built-in windshields also provide added protection in windier conditions.
The Companion Proheat 2 Burner High Pressure Stove is an essential addition to your portable kitchen from the backyard barbies to the campsite parties.
Hi there, do you have a cooking plate that fits this cooker? I bought the Campfire 3 burner hotplate but the tabs for the handles make the plate too wide to use with the side windshields on ( I live in a high wind zone so really need the windshields), cheers
G'day Gabriel,
I've just checked on this one having previously tested out the 3 Burner hotplate with this stove - it looks like they're slighty changed the design of the handle and handle tabs, which now make this hotplat a touch too long.
Unfortunately theres very little option for an alternative hotplate - they're all either a touch long, or far too short, or have attachements specific to click into other model stoves.
Noting the 3 burner plate is only a touch too long, you could make a small wire loop from a paper clip (as an example) and loop through each windshield allowing them to still be hooked into place.
This would allow you to use the hotplate you have.
When using a refillable lpg bottle, does gas hose connect directly to the cooker itself or to the supplied BOM arm? The instructions that come with cooker are very scarce on this point, thanks
G'day Gabriel,
The supplied BOM arm cannot by bypassed, regardless of disposable propane bottles, or LPG connection.
The hose you need should be BOM to 3/8th BSP or LCC27 - depending on the gas bottle connection you have.
I realise this is dependent on a number of factors, but roughly how long will a 500g canister last with the burners up high?
G'day Brad,
1Mj equals approx 20g of propane gas, so based on the fuel consumption rate of 37Mj per hour, this stove will use up to 740g of propane per hour.
You'll probably get around 45mins of solid run time from one cylinder.
Hello, can this be connected to my existing LPG bottle that has an LCC27 connection? if so do you stock what I need and what is the max hose length? Thanks
G'day Paul,
You will need an extra hose to connect this to an LCC27 bottle. The maximum hose length for this stove is 1500mm.
You can use the Companion POL to BOM High Pressure Gas Hose 150cm or the Coleman BOM/UNEF to LCC27 High Pressure Gas Hose to connect this stove to an LCC27 bottle.
The Companion Proheat 2 Burner Low Pressure Stove comes with an LCC27 hose as another option!
Hey Team, Does this stove come with a hose to connect to my 4kg bottle with a 3/8 fitting?
G'day Brian,
No, it doesn't. You'll need to grab a separate companion hose which you can find here.
Hope that helps!
