Generally, we wouldn't suggest that you run a fridge direct from a solar panel as you're not guaranteed constant power. We'd suggest that you purchase a solar panel to charge a battery, and then run the fridge from the battery. This way you'll be able to keep the battery topped up during the day, and then run the fridge overnight when the sun is down. Generally, you'll want to look at a 120 watt panel as a minimum to run a MT45FCP Fridge.

The Engel MT45FCP 40L Combi Fridge just comes with the fridge, cover and cables required to run the unit. You'll need an external battery or vehicle to plug the unit in to. The divider that separates the fridge from the freezer section is included and removable if required.

The Engel MT45FCP 40L Fridge Freezer comes with a couple of nifty little features that ensure that your car will be able to keep your fridge going for a very long time. Depending on the wiring on your car the fridge won't draw any power from your car when the car is switched off (most cars will be wired like this). It's also got a built-in voltage protection feature that will flick the fridge off when the battery dips below a certain pre-set level that you are able to set. This will stop the fridge from running your battery dry.

It is possible to remove the Engel MT45 40L divider, however, due to the way in which the cooling elements are located at the one end, the compressor will need to work a little harder than usual to freeze the entire space.

We do offer free delivery to most addresses in mainland Australia, but remote addresses such as to your location in Longreach, Qld will come at a small subsidised cost. 

The Engel MT45FCP, and the rest of our fridge and freezer range only have one delivery option, which is pickup in store only from our store in Richmond, SA so that's something to keep in mind as well.

I've just had a look downstairs at our display model, and I can confirm that the two fridge baskets are included when you purchase the MT45FCP Combi Fridge Freezer. 

The Engel MT45 large basket can indeed be purchased seperately, but it's not currently on our website. if you like you could make a purchase over the phone (the code for this product is 35149) - just give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and out customer support team will be happy to help. 

At this time our entire fridge range is currently pick up only at our Keswick store in South Australia. I know this is a little frustrating, but we are working hard to find a safe way to deliver these products across Australia.
