After hours in the car with a bunch of grumpy and WIFI- deprived vacationers, the last thing you want to do is make them wait while you spend the next hour figuring out how to put up your brand new tent.
With the latest Instant Up Silver 6P tent from Coleman, even the most impatient beginner can get this tent up and running in no time as the frame is connected and pre-attached. All you have to do is lay it down, spread out the fabric and extend the poles out from the hub until it locks into place. Then you can just chuck the waterproof fly over the top, so you can get a good night’s sleep knowing you won’t get soaked in the rain.
The interior is spacious, with enough floor space to fit in 2 queen sized mattresses and head room to stand up. For the camping novice, or those on a time sensitive schedule you can’t go past an easy-use model like the Instant Up.
Got the 6 people tent just for me and my partner. It's perfect size, gives us enough room to have bags etc inside the tent and comfortable space to move around in. It's a very easy tent to set up ( bf did it alone whilst I was drinking wine and it took him max 5 minutes..) Great price and fast delivery - highly recommended, thank you Snowys!
Easy to put up. Good quality.
Two adults and 2 kids fit no worries.
The staff were knowledgeable and the shipping was quick.
The tent was fantastic. It's both easy to setup and take down. It's spacious inside and is tall enough for you to stand up inside. The windows and screens have good airflow. There were a few nice features such as a clip on the ceiling in the centre of the tent to hang a light, a few pockets to put phones etc and an area to bring in a electric cord. It's a bit long when it's packed but if you're not backpacking into a site this wouldn't be an issue.
This is amazingly quick to erect, and guess what NO arguing...It fits our 2 King Goanna Stretcher beds with room to move, great innovation in tenting.
Snowy's delivered our Coleman 6 man pop up tent within a week and true to other reviews this is a super easy tent to put up and down. Takes up a bit of space in the car but worth it for the extra room you get once the tent is up! We easily fitted a double bed mattress, porticot, chair and plenty of room for bags. No worries that there's no annex as the internal is spacey enough and the outside awning gives extra room under cover. Very family friendly.
Great tent easy to put up and take down easily fitted a queen mattress a golden retriever and his bed as well, had a wet day and night held up well kept us all dry dried off very quickly, thank you to all at snowy's will defitinely shop there again have spread the word to all our friends
The tent is great with how fast it goes up and down but when it rains the awning fills up with water and adds stress to the front poles etc. it would be great if the poles where adjustable and you could lower then a little, the rain would then run off and not pool in the middle.
This tent is just so easy to put up. It would easy fit 6 teenagers but it perfect for two in our 50's.
The service from Snowy was great with tracking on the consignment we new exactly where the tent was and were amazed it took only 2 days from Adelaide to the Mornington Peninsula.
Super easy and super fast to put up! Just took it camping and got hit by some pretty heavy rain - not one drop inside!
Was actually wet from raining over night when we had to pack up, however wiped the fly down quickly with a towel and it was completely dry after 10 mins.
Size was perfect for 2 adults with double mattress and plenty of space for all our stuff and still room to move. Height is great too!
Camped out a few times in the backyard with my son to test if before going bush. It's easy to put up and take down, though getting the fly on and ropes pegged out takes the same time as any other tent! Plenty of room, materials look good, keeps the rain out and stands up fine to moderate wind. Looking forward to taking it out for a proper run!
Is this suitable autumn or winter whether condition ?
You sure could use the Instant Up 6 in autumn or winter, although you might want to consider the Instant Up Gold 6 - as this tent has a higher waterhead rating of 3000mm compared to 1500 for the standard Instant Up - so it might be a better option if you are planning on camping in areas that get a bit more rain.
what size tarp would you use underneath as a protector?
A popular tarp that we recommend for general use is the Ultramesh Tarp from Oztrail, for the Instant UP 6 there are two size options depending on how you want to set up your tent.
If you want the tarp to just cover the underside of your Instant Up, then the 3.65 x 3.65 tarp is a good size for that.
If you want the tarp to cover the area under awning of your tent, then the 3.05 x 4.88m size is what you should go for.
Hi, I was wondering if you stocked replacement flyovers for this tent? We have the older version flyover that doesn't completely cover the tent, but its getting a couple holes in it. How much would it cost?
I would like to know the differences between the Coleman Silver Series and the Coleman Gold Series?
That's a great question! Essentially the Instant Up Gold range is slightly more heavy duty than the Instant Up Silver range.
The Gold has a higher waterhead rating at 3000mm, stronger PVC floor, comes with an additional oversized 3 pole awning for the left or right side, and features slightly finer mesh.
I think that covers everything, but feel free let us know if you have any more queries about the range.
I would like to know if all the pegs and guy ropes are included for complete pegging down of the tent. if i need any pegs, guy ropes, how many should i get?
The Coleman Instant Up 6P tent comes with guy lines attached, and with pegs included - so you don't need to purchase anything seperately. As long as you peg everything out firmly you shouldn't have any issues with the stability of your Instant Up.
G’day Matt, the model that we are selling is indeed the latest 2016/17 Instant Up from Coleman.
i did ask earlier, however your answer then, still leaves me guessing on what im wanting to buy ??
Hi Kev, I’m sorry you didn’t get the answer you were looking for originally, I can’t explain what happened there but I’ll try and sort this out for you now. The New Instant Up is replacing the older clearance model, the only difference is a colour update and price. Regarding general features - if you’re looking for a family/group tent that is really easy to pitch, roomy, and good value - then the Instant Up would be a good choice. If you want to talk through the range or we haven’t answered your question in full, give us a call 1300 914 007 and one of our sales staff will be more than happy to help. Make sure you mention this inquiry to the person you speak to.
Have you any details about the new range to add apart from the photos? It appears to be a refresh in look only.
Hi Michael, the Instant Up is still the exact same much-loved model as it has always been, but now with a refreshed colour scheme.
