Make setting up and packing down your shelter on touring expeditions easy-breezy with the adventure-ready Hi-View 1600 RTT from Darche.
This RTT is made from durable 260sgm polyester/cotton ripstop canvas with PU waterproofing, a sturdy internal aluminium frame, and features a 550gsm PVC zip-off bucket floor with adjustable anchoring points in the corners. When it’s warm outside, the adjustable tropical fly helps prevent condensation and allows more airflow, while the star gazing window provides a stunning view on a clear night. Keep your essentials handy in the internal storage pockets and doze off each night on the 65mm high-density open-cell foam mattress which also has a water-resistant cover.
Get airflow through the built-in air vents and keep out insects out while enjoying the views from the large full-width side windows. For access, extend the alloy telescopic ladder and pack it down into the laminated 600gsm PVC tonneau cover for transport. Spend more time exploring and less time setting up your sleeping quarters with the Hi-View 1600 RTT from Darche.
What’s the weight limit? I see 64 kg but I thought I’d check as want to purchase but not sure on max weight
G'day Jane,
Just so you know, you've asked a question on a discontinued product line, so unless you're looking to buy one of these second hand from somewhere, it might be weith checking the Hi-View 1400 or High-View 1800 Tents.
The weight listed is the weight of the tent itself, not the weight limit.
In order to determine how much weight the tent can handle, you'll need to confirm the roofload rating for your vehicle, and account for your roofrack system, tent, and anybody/anything that is added to it.
Hi there Do the Darche rtt’s fit on most after market cross bar racks? We have the arb canopy cross bars and I asked Darche to confirm but they just said to speak to the installer. I have also looked at the online instruction manual but wasn’t 100% sure from that. Thank you!
G'day Daniel,
They are advertised as fitting most generic roof racks, but without having your specific racks here to look at and compare with provided fittings, etc we cant say for sure.
If you contact ARB directly they will be able to confirm, but unfortunately, as we are not qualified roof rack specialists we're not legally able to provide further advice - thats the same with Darche & why they referred you to a qualified installer.
Either way, I'm sure you'll be able to make it work and if you do required any additional fixings, ARB should be able to tell you exactly you'll need.
Hey Daniel. The mounting brackets sit in a channel that slides so can be adjusted to fit whatever width roof rack. My darche RTT is mounted to rhino rack cross bars and is totally fine.
The diagram shows every measurement besides the depth of mounting channel, could you tell me the measurement please ?
G'day David,
Our team in Qld have measured our display model, and the total depth of the mounting channel is 23mm.
