If you camp in the great outdoors regularly, then treat yourself to a luxuriously comfortable sleep by adding the 2D Super Deluxe Single Mat from Black Wolf to your sleeping set up.
This mat has a stretchy 50D polycotton top that feels soft against your skin, with a non-slip base so that it doesn’t slide around on top of your stretcher or on your tent floor. The interior features anti-fungal CFC free foam which when inflated by the high flow reversible one-way valve, provides superior comfort as you sleep. You’re able to attach two of these mats together as there are Velcro side strips, and there's a pump sack and a repair kit included.
Plush and easy to inflate, you can rest peacefully when you’re sleeping under the stars with the 2D Super Deluxe Single Mat from Black Wolf.
Hi Snowys team. Specs listed shows packed diameter of 18cm. However, I see that the Blackwolf site lists the same dimension for this model as 24cm (unless that is the bag size?). Would you mind double confirming what the packed diameter is if reasonably rolled up? With smallish storage in our vehicle, compactness is important. Thanks!
G'day,
I've just measured all the stock we have on the shelf, and they are all 18cm in diameter.
Hope that helps.
should it be stored in the bag, or stored fully inflated?
G'day Granton,
The best way to store a self-inflating mat is unrolled, and with the valve open if you can, however they can be stored rolled in the bag, we'd just recommend getting them out, unrolling and inflating them every month or two to reduce the risk of the internal foam becoming permanently compressed.
Hi - tossing up between this matt and the Zempire Monstamat. The HexaTherm is looking the favourite, i like the warranty, the single seam edge (easier to roll) and hopefully high quality and comfort. The Monstamat 'looks' great - i do really like the box edge design but think it would be harder to roll - any last thoughts on your pick between the 2? Many thanks - really love how you guys give honest info and answers. Cheers.
G'day Tom,
To honest, we're pretty impressed with both of these mats. The HexaTherm is a little thinner so it will pack down a little smaller and lighter than the Monstamat. The Monstamat tends to be slightly more popular if you're looking to pop two next to each other, as the box style edge makes it easier to abut each other. Overall if I had to pick one I'd go for the HexaTherm, as I've owned one before, I know they're great, and they have a great warranty.
I've read that the Monstamat has cross core foam What is the difference to this mat as they are both bonded mats Is there a difference in how the mat stays inflated over a nights sleep
G'dat Thea,
There are some minor differences between these two mats. The Blackwolf mat is 8.8cm thick, versus the Zempire which is 10cm thick. They are also slightly different dimensions, with the Blackwolf being slightly smaller. The Zempire has a square sidewall, with the Blackwolf having a tapered edge. They will both stay inflated in the same way overnight, with the main differences coming down to dimensions and fabrics.
For a black wolf deluxe king single mattress. I seem to have lost the pump sack.
G'day Alice,
Unfortunately not, the pump sack/storage sacks are not available for separate purchase.
Is there Velcro on the top and bottom of the side strips on both sides or is there a left and a right version of the mat ?
G'day Margherita,
The velcro is on each side of the mattress. Laying on your back, the left-hand side has the furry velcro on the 'up' side of the tab and the right-hand side has the prickly velcro on the 'down' side of the tab.
