Aluminium pole?1 answer
Hi just wondering what is meant by 1 aluminium pole included? Does this mean other frame poles are extra???
Mark - 5047(7 years ago)
G'day Mark
I can understand your confusion and perhaps we can reword it online sorry. This system is classed as only having 'one pole' as the short top pole is connected and floating so no stress, everything you need is included except the groundsheet which is a recommended extra.

does the fly keep the sunlight out?1 answer

G’day Michael,
I’ve just looked into this for you, and I can’t find any mention of UV protection from the supplier’s information. The fabric of the Freelite’s fly is 15 denier which is quite thin so there is a possibility that you would get burnt if the sun was hot enough.
As far as I can find we don’t have any hiking tents that have UV protection, but we do have plenty with a higher denier fly but they are much heavier than the Freelite 2.
With tents like these they are built to be as lightweight as possible, so they sometimes cut out other features - so it can come down to deciding between extra weight or protection.Â
