Ideal for shorter trips, the Evo TS from Zempire has a tunnel design and everything you need to make that weekend getaway quick and easy.
Light-diffusing fabric will help filter that morning glare while the SeroLink™ frame system and angled beam construction provide space without adding unnecessary weight and bulk. You’ve also got improved rigidity and performance in windy conditions, and a 360° fold away door so you can fully open the entry/exit point right up. If the bugs are bugging you, simply zip the mesh panel into place for complete insect protection and if wet weather sets in, add the waterproof panel as well. You can fit 2 double mattresses inside the sleeping space so the area will comfortably cater for a small family or a couple who like a bit more room. Plus you can extend your living area further as the Aerobase Evo link zip and the awning wall set attachment system are both ready to go should you ever decide you want more versatility with your setup.
When you need to keep your weight and pack size down, but you don’t want to compromise on quality or convenience, Zempire’s Evo TS will tick the box.

Sleeping mattress 1 answer
Hi, I looked on Zempire’s website, it states not to use an open cell mattress to sleep on as it causes condensation. I figure they suggest some sort of flooring or a stretcher set up? I have an Exped self inflating mattress (it’s awesome btw), does it fall under that category and therefore requires a barrier between the floor and mattress?
Tony - Bowral, NSW (6 months ago)
G'day Tony,
Condensation occurs in certain conditions when there's a lack of ventilation. You won't have any condensation issues specifically because of the mats, but if its condensation weather you may get some under the mat. Laying out a towel can really help with that, if you find it happening on some trips. Hope that helps!

Awning wall set1 answer
Can you leave the Evo awning wall set attached to the tent when packing away?
Phil - Panorama, SA(7 months ago)
G'day Phil,
It is best recommended to pack the awning wall set away separately in its own carry bag.

Bag seam sealed?1 answer
Is the bag waterproof and seam sealed enough for roof rack travel?
Phil - Panorama, SA(8 months ago)
G'day Phil,
You could most likely get away with it, just because the tent inside is waterproof, however, I would recommend grabbing something like the Coleman Heavy Duty Tent Dry Bag for extra protection.

How can you read what the PSI is?1 answer
I’ve just done a test setup of the tent and I couldn’t work out how to tell what PSI I have inflated the poles to?
Sarah - Flinders Park, SA(9 months ago)
G'day Sarah,
The manual pump that comes with the Evo TS has a small PSI gauge at the top near the 'handles'. As you inflate the tent poles the resistance will increase which will cause the PSI gauge to move. The needle will be sitting on the current PSI of the poles.

Expansion due to heat?1 answer
I actually drop my tyres a few PSI to cover expansion in hotter areas of Australia. Just wondering what happens to the air-filled framework of this tent when it gets hotter in some of our hotter, remote, outback areas? Are there any records of expansion or corruption due to heat? Also, does it come with any sort of repair kit for the air frame sections?
Steve - Beenleigh, QLD(11 months ago)
G'day Steve,
Zempire tests these air poles to 20 PSI in the factory and each pole is around 7-9 PSI when inflated. Their testing confirms for every 10-degree temperature difference, the PSI will increase by 1 in the air pole frame. The TPU the inner poles are made of is designed to be flexible and handle higher temperatures. All the Zempire Air Tents come with a repair kit to patch up any small holes on the air poles too.
There shouldn't be any issues with the temperature increase, we haven't heard of anything damaging the air poles due to expansion in the heat.

Window mesh1 answer
G’day guys Can you tell me if the mesh is midge proof
Anthony - Hobart, TAS (1 year ago)
G'day Anthony,
Theres not too many brands that give a midgee proof guarantee these days, as the tricky buggers can squeeze through zipper teeth, and small stitching holes, etc Zempire simply state it to be 'bug-proof' - looking at the mesh it appears to be very fine, and for the most part you'd be ok I reckon. Would be worth looking bug repellent or at an area deterrent aswell (like Thermacell or coils). With that combo you shouldn't go wrong.

Hanging Lights1 answer
I'm just wondering if you can hang a strip light in the front vestibule of this tent
Dave - Brisbane City, QLD (2 years ago)
G'day Dave,
I've had a chat to one of the Snowys crew who has this tent, and they've said no. The only real option is the air pole at the very front, which has a gap between the fly, and allows you to wrap some velcro or ties around it to hold a light in place, but it will have to be removed for pack up.

Tent1 answer
Can we add more extensions to this tent to make more compartments.
Murali - Maitland North, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Murali,
The TM/TS Awning Wall Set is the only accessory available and will enclose the front verandah area. Alternatively, if you jump up to the Evo TM you'll get basically the same tent but with an extra room.

How dust proof is the inner on a windy day?1 answer
With all air vents closed will blown dust be kept out of the main tent interior? Many tents even fully closed allow dust to blow in under the outer tent then through the mesh inner onto bedding etc.
Daryl - Rosanna, VIC(4 years ago)
G'day Daryl,
Zempire has indicated that the internal tent material is a breathable polyester so it should do a good job of keeping dust out of the bedroom section of the tent. We're going purely on the information we've got from Zempire on this one, as we don't currently have stock or a display model to check this for you.

tent venting and sun blockout1 answer
Gday I can see there is a rear bedroom vent but is there also side vents as well on each side of tent ? Also is the tent resonably good at blocking out midday sun ? As im also looking at coleman dark room tents which seem very well ventilated ?
wade rogers - oldreynella(4 years ago)
G'day Wade,
There are also side vents in the rear bedroom section which provides good cross ventilation. Zempire uses a light-diffusing fabric, however, it won't completely block out light in the same way that the Coleman Dark Room tents will.

Bedroom space - window and roof1 answer
There is an external window on the back of the tent, however in looking at Zempire's videos it looks like you can't access this window from inside the tent. Is that the case? How do you access this window? Also, what are the walls and roof of the internal bedroom section made of? Are they just bug mesh, or can they be secured in cooler climates to keep warmth in?
Stacey - Canberra(4 years ago)
G'day Stacey,
I reached out to Zempire to clarify this one for you, and they're confirmed that the rear window is only accessible externally, you're not able to adjust the window from the inside at all. The inner bedroom is made from breathable polyester fabric (not mesh). This reduces condensation build-up on the fly, and blocks out sunlight, keeping the inside darker. In cooler weather, the rear airflow window and front door panels can be fully closed to keep the tent warmer and block out drafts.

Awning 1 answer
Can you keep the front awning attached or do you need to always attach/detach everytime the tent is taken up/down?
JP - BRIGHTON(4 years ago)
G'day JP,
The front awning area is part of the tent housing itself so remains attached and isn't removable. We don't have any videos yet, but Zempire has some setup, pack down and walkthrough videos that might help show the design a little more clearly.

Windows at the bank2 answers
Hey, does this tent have windows at the back? I can see vents, but no windows. Is Snowys able to do a walkthrough? Cheers
Kelly - Northcote(4 years ago)
G'day Kelly!
Yes there is a back window, one that's quite thought out too! I've had a look into this product and Zempire describes the rear window as a gusseted design. Their windows are 3 way, inner window cover, bug proof mesh wall and an outer cover, so your options for the rear window are:
1. Inner window cover open with the gussets pegged out for maximum airflow without compromising privacy
2. Fully closed using the side zipped internal window covers
3. Fully open with the outer gusset pulled aside and the inner window cover open. There is a bug proof mesh in place to keep you safe from the elements!
The tent also has many vents for maximum air ventilation too!
Caitlyn - Snowys(4 years ago)
**Update 21/12/20 -just to clarify this one, we've double checked with Zempire, and the rear window on this model is actually only accessible externally. It can be fully closed, opened using the gusset for airflow, or rolled up and secured for lots of airflow and light to come into the rear of the tent.
