Designed to perform in the elements, you can rely on the Eclipse Slimline Awning 2m x 2.5 for reliable shade beside your vehicle on the road.
This easy to use awning has a slimline profile which reduces weight and wind resistance. You’ll be protected from the sun thanks to the tough mould-treated 320gsm proofed polycotton ripstop canvas, which is also PU-coated to give a 1500mm waterhead protection. To reduce component stress, this awning features super-flex pivoting hinges as well as black anodised aluminium extruded profiles to save you space when packing it away. It also has a double sail track so you can add separately available walls for more shelter, and comes with mounting brackets, fittings, guy ropes, pegs and a manual.
When it’s time for the next destination, pack it into the 1000D PVC transit cover with weather-resistant zips for protection against the landscape. Get instant shelter wherever you travel, by incorporating the Eclipse Slimline Awning 2m x 2.5 from Darche into your touring setup.

On the back of the awning what is the measurement from bolt channel to bolt channel? Centre to Centre please?
G'day Bernhard,
The back of the awning has slimline slats run side to side, so there is no way of measuring the from bolt channel to bolt channel as you can fix the mounting brackets in any position as they will slide in.
There are multiple mounting options depending on the type of roof rack you have.
If your racks have channels, you just need to grab some Channel Bolts - this is the most common mounting option. You'd usually need 2 packs for this awning.
Hey, How would this be mounted on the Front Runner Slimline II Roof Rack?
G'day,
As the Slimline slats run side to side, you mount awnings like you would on any normal roof rack system.
For any rack systems that use t-slots you'll need to grab 2 packs of the t-bolts which you can find in the 'you might also like' section.
The mounting and installation instructions are otherwise the same.
Hope that helps!
Hi again, Does this come with everything I need to mount on RhinoRack Vortex aero crossbars? Thanks!
G'day Jay,
If you have channel mount roof racks, you'd need to grab 2 x Channel Bolts sets, which you can find in the You Might Also Like section.
Hope that helps!
Hey team, I have Rhino Rack crossbars installed on my mid-sized SUV. Is it acceptable to use the short side of the L-bracket to fix to the aero bar and use the long side pointing up to affix the awning? The reason being, to get the awning as high as possible to create more headroom when in use. Thanks!
G'day Jay,
No, sorry. The short side is specifically manufactured to line up with the mounting channels on the backing plate of the actual awning itself. The short side also has a smaller gauge holes and bolts than what is required for the roof bar attachement.
So the l shaped brackets have to be placed with the L upwards or can they be turned down and still fit the awning
G'day Lisa,
They can turn either up or down, depending on your particular roof rack system & the height clearance you have.
Hope that helps!
Hi, does this come with mounts for roof rails or do I need roof racks to mount this. Thans
G'day Anne,
All vehicular awnings in our range require roof racks in order to be mounted.
There may be a roof rail-only option out there somewhere, but I've not personally ever seen one.
Hi, I'm not sure if I'm just being precious, but do I have to drill through my roof bars (or whatever) to install this thing?
G'day Tim,
No, there are multiple mounting options depending on the type of roof rack you have.
If your racks have channels, you just need to grab some Channel Bolts - this is the most common mounting option.
You'd usually need 2 packs for this awning, or 3 for the larger 180/270 awnings.
Hope that helps.
Do you know if this will fit with an arb base rack system?
G'day Lachlan,
I've just done some quick research on the ARB page, and it looks like you'll need to get 2 some T-Slot adapters from them to be able to mount non ARB branded awnings.
Once you've got a couple of those you should be good to go.
Is there or will there be soon, an extender tent or mozzie net for the Kosi 2m awning?
G'day Neil,
Not that we are aware of at this stage.
Any standard Darche Eclipse 2 x 2.5m awnings should be compatible with the Kozi awning though, if that helps.
Howdy is it possible to see the back if the awning so I know how they fix to the vehicle
G'day Dan,
Unfortunately the only images we've got for this awning are the ones on the site. The rear of the mounting plate has two channels for bolts, and is supplied with bolts and L style brackets to attach to your roof racks.
hi just checking if the the 2 metre wide awning can still be used with the 2.5 wide awning xtender tent please
G'day Paul,
Yes, you can use the Xtender 2.5 tent with the 2m wide awning, but there will be some overhang on either side, as the tent is 2.5m wide.
I will need to get roof racks on my car. Do you think the roof rack people will install the awning for me?
G'day Jenni,
Yes, the roof rack people should be able to install the awning for you too. Just be sure to chat to them when you're choosing the roof racks so you can make sure they will work with an awning.
The distance of my two crossbar is 91.5 cm. Will it be able to hold this up w/o a problem? Thank you.
G'day Cirilo,
This awning should suit your crossbar distances, however, the Eclipse Retreat hasn't been designed for use with the Slimline Awnings, is has been designed for use with the 180 and 270 awnings, so they are too wide to fit the Slimline 2 x 2.5M awnings.
Hi all. Can you please explain the differences between this 'new' version and the old. Thanks!
G'day Justin,
Darche are still using the same canvas and PVC, however, they're now using aluminium extrusion for the frame which has helped them to drop 1kg off the weight, and reduce the packed size from 210L x 13W x 14H cm down to 204L x 9.5W x 12H cm. Aside from this, as far as we know, they're the same.
