If you’re looking to extend or add some shade to your Darche Eclipse awning, then the Eclipse Ezy Awning Extension Side Awning from Darche is the way to go.

The material on this awning is made from 320gsm proofed polycotton canvas, which will block out UV and direct sunlight while also shielding from the rain thanks to its 2000mm waterhead rating. It's also mould treated to ensure that it stays in good condition over time, and is heavy gauge so that you don't have to put up with it flapping noisily in the wind.

Also featuring heavy duty eyelets, pegs, and a carry bag for easy storage - the Eclipse Ezy Awning Extension Side Awning is just what you need to add shade to your existing Darche Eclipse Awning.

G'day, Is this product 2.5x2.5 or 2.5x2.0? Also,what side are the Velcro tabs on?...long or short side? Cheers

The Side Awning Extension is 2.5m x 2.0m, the velcro tabs are on the 2.5m side as this is the part that connects to the awning then the length is 2m.

No, the Ezy Side Awning Extension is designed for the side that runs perpendicular to your vehicle. You'll need the Ezy Front Awning if you're wanting to attach it to the outside sail track edge that runs parallel to your vehicle.

Can this be attached to the side awning, then suspended on poles and guy ropes to creat an extension of the awning itself? Does it have eyelets for this?

Yes, I guess you could rise the side awning as an extra roof. There are 3 eyelets along the edge normally at the ground, that are designed to be pegged though, however you could pop some adjustable height poles through the eyelets, and grab some guy ropes to secure it.

There are 4 velcro straps that are spaced approximately 60cm apart from each other. There is no rope along the edge, it just has the velcro straps to secure around the cross bar.

Unfortunately, the Exy Side Awning Extension 2.5M isn't compatible with the Eclipse Rear Awning 1.4M. At this stage, Darche doesn't make an awning extension for the rear awning.

The Side Awning needs a spreader bar to attach the wall to the awning so unfortunately there will be no way to attach the wall to your 180 awning.

Yes, this would work well as a partial windbreak, however, as it doesn't zip to the front awning you would still potentially get wind coming in the gap or the non-shielded side.

I have the front extension which works great as both sides have velcro straps and eyelets down the bottom to keep secured, i’m interested in this item but can only imagine one side being secured, what option does this give me to secure the car side of the wall, thanks

The Darche Eclipse Ezy Side Awning Extention has velcro attachments down both sides, aswell as eyelets & bungee loops along the bottom for pegging out. Essentially this allows the awning extension to be used on either side of your awning.
There is no built-in attachment to your car door side as there isn't really a generic attachment point on all cars.

No it wont. The Ezy Side Awning Extension attached by velcro straps around the cylindrical awning side arms on the standard Eclipse Awning. As The Eclipse 180 Awning does not have these support bars, it only has provisions for walls with a zipper attachment. Check out the Eclipse 180 Awning Wall Set for the right fit.
