What's the difference between the first one and 2?1 answer

There's been reviews saying it burns/melts after 1 use or so. Has that been fixed on both or on the second one, at least?

G'day Chester,

The main difference between the Biolite CookStove Hiking Stove and the CampStove 2 Hiking Stove is the rechargeable battery on the CampStove 2, which you can use to charge your phone etc. as you travel. The feedback we've received is that the plastic melting issue was a batch problem that's since been rectified.

Hello, can this stove be used during fire bans? Sorry if that's a silly question.1 answer

Often during fire bans there is a sign @ the national park saying no wood fires (or maybe no open fires), fuel stoves only. Wasn't sure which category this falls into.

It all depends on local regulations and how they define their terminology. Typically speaking, however, the Biolite CookStove Hiking Stove cannot be used during fire bans and is considered an open/wood fire.

I've just checked the stock that we have of this stove, and it seems that the portable grill and kettle pot as shown in the 4th and 5th images are actually separate items that don't come included with the BioLite CookStove.

I do apologise if that was confusing, I've added a note under the product description, and I'll make sure we update those images to reflect the correct details Sharon.
