The brand started with the BioLite Camp Stove, a wood powered stove that used thermoelectrics to burn a smokeless fire and generate energy to charge portable devices at the same time. They then created a large version of this, the BioLite Home Stove, that can be used by families living in energy poverty. 

This was the very beginning of the BioLite story, from then on they have continued to innovate portable lighting and cooking solutions designed to bring Energy Everywhere™.
