what mattress would you recommend that would fit this?
G'day Tam,
You'll be able to fit most of our self-inflating double mats in the Tent Cot Double, with the Zempire Mostamat Twin being one of the more popular options. Something to consider with these Tent Cots, is the central bar that runs down the middle of the sleeping space, this is common to this style of stretcher base, so it can be a better option to pop two single mats inside instead of a twin. Hopefully, this helps.
Is this new version as sturdy, does it pack up smaller/lighter/faster, are it's features as robust as the original standard size double? Pros/cons vs original? Do you have a video of it?
G'day Terence,
These two models are a little different to be honest, so it's hard to give a direct comparison, however we'll give it a crack! The Original has a fold out style bed construction with the whole thing folding flat and therefore quite large, but very stable, and durable. The Compact version has an accordion/stretcher style frame which is more compact, but has more moving parts, so will possibly be slightly less durable. The Compact version has a slightly lower weight rating, and slightly thinner materials so we'd say it might not be quite as robust. At this stage, we haven't done any videos on either model but there does appear to be a few youtube videos around from people in the USA where the compact has been around for a while.
