Featuring two independent layers of air cells, the Sea To Summit Comfort Plus Sleeping Mats are the same as their Insulated cousins only without the insulation, creating a comfortable and lightweight mat that still boasts impressive thermal properties.

Dot welding construction creates offset air sprung cells that offer similar comfort characteristics to a pocket spring mattress, and delivers insulation values comparable to foam filled self-inflating mattresses only at twice the height!

Dual layer construction crafts a mat that can be finely tuned to suit terrain or comfort levels with independently inflated top and bottom levels that also builds in a level of redundancy to your mat – a puncture in one layer of your Comfort Plus Mat means you still have the other layer to get you through the night.

  • Air filled dual layer mattress
  • Multi-function inflate/deflate valve
  • Individually factory tested
  • Antimicrobial - OK to inflate with your breath
  • Includes stuff sack and 3M® repair kit

Great design

I bought this recently and took it for a 5 day hike in the Budawangs NSW. It had to deal with some serious rocks and sticks at times, but the dual chamber design gave me peace of mind and it didn't end up puncturing anyway.
It's also very comfortable and packs down very small, just wish it was a few 100g lighter.
The 2.5 R-value was ok sleeping on a cliff in 4 degrees Celsius with some wind but any colder and it would be good to have one of the insulated models.
Is it noisy like some people say?
A little bit. It's louder than foam self inflating mats but nowhere near the Thermarest XTherm. I wouldn't let noise effect whether I'd purchase this mat.
All round, it's a great design and I'm very happy with it.

Comfort plus

A very well designed and built product.
Extremely compact and lightweight but with above average comfort.
I found the dual density feature especially good by blowing one side up hard and the upper side less so was really good when used on camp stretcher.
Didn't take much to blow up, all done in a minute or so. I thought it was a bit noisy but no one else around me seemed to notice.

Easy to pack/carry.

Maybe the rectangular model would give better space for the feet.

Light but noisy

I took mat on a long hike. It was light and comfortable but really squeaky at night. Some other hikers in the cabin weren't impressed! I complained to Sea to Summit but they told me it was dirt, which is not true. Anyway you've been warned!

Very comfy mattress and very light. Hope the thin material we hold up over time.

Is there a suggested weight range for this product?1 answer

They don't have a weight rating Amy, most air-mattresses don't. We tried to explain things in our blog, check it out at, albeit about Coleman airbeds similar principals apply to the Sea To Summit range.
