The OZtrail Chateau 10 is a perfect choice if you are sharing your living quarters with another party, or just want your own private space. The versatile living space is created with two generous bedrooms separated by a central living area. Tough canvas upper and puncture resistant reinforced PVC vinyl flooring combined with a strong and sturdy frame ensures the kids won’t destroy your camp accommodation in their holiday excitement.
Near vertical walls provide plenty of head and shoulder room, easily accessed through oversized D doors and low sills to minimise tripping. The No-See-Um Mesh windows and doors keep insects at bay, and provide excellent ventilation, while a silver coated roof reflects heat preventing your tent from becoming a sauna in the hot Australian weather.
Additional features include lantern hanging loop, interior organiser and a power port inlet, and optional extras enable you to turn the extended front awning into a screen room with a vinyl floor. The OZtrail Chateau 10 Tent will become your holiday home away from home.

Hi Snowy's, How do these newer canvas tents compare to the dome tents for external seals? Any extra openings (at corners etc) that would make it easier for creepy crawlies to get in? Cheers

The Oztrail Chateau 10 Cabin Tent is just as bug-proof as dome tents. There are no extra holes or openings that might allow critters to get inside and the windows feature 'no-see-um' mesh which is the gold standard for bug-proof windows and doors.

Does the sleeping capacity include the living space in the middle or is that just the 2 side rooms? we have 3 little ones and 3 teens.

The maximum sleeping capacity includes the central living space in the middle of the tent, on Oztrail's website they have a diagram which shows three in each side room, and four in the middle (which you can see here) but we recommend 6 people if you want to be comfortable, and have living space.

G'day Sonia - Two adults and three kids - that's a nice number for this tent. Be wary of capacity ratings on tents - when it says ten, think five. This tent should provide you with a fair bit of room, and what's more the kids can sleep at one end and you and the other half at the other! Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul

It's not something we have readily available, but can get them Vanessa. They expensive (about 60-70% more than the Chateau 10) and bulky. We do long stay stints in the one spot with 2 kids and thought this could be a good (cheaper option) than a camper trailer, especially if weather turned. Dealing with 2 bored kids in bad weather is never fun and the middle section looks large enough to potentially handle this.... Open to other options

This would certainly cater for you needs Vanessa, a canvas tent is best for long stays and while this cabin style of tent takes a little longer to set up, is usually worth the time when in one location for some time. My only concern is the size, the poles and tent together weigh 100 kg, and they come in two large packages which will quickly sap space in your vehicle. I think this range of tent is good for your purpose, the Chateau 10 would probably suit your needs though, at a slightly lighter and smaller package. Difference between this & Oztrail 12 x 15 Cabin Tent1 answer
Deciding between this tent and the Oztrail 12 x 15 Cabin Tent are there major differences space wise. Is one more complicated to set up then the other.

The differences really come down to space and room configuration Jacinta. Given the Chateau 10 is larger, it will also take a little longer to set-up, but I wouldn't say it is any more complicated. I would recommend going with the model in which you prefer the layout.
