They are made in China - Sea to Summit has set up their own factory there since the early 90's.
Some of the highest quality products in the world come from China, so it's not necessarily a bad thing, but I guess that depends on your reasoning!
We do support Aussie made and Aussie businesses wherever possible, but theres nothing is the self inflating mattress space that we're aware of.
I am asking this not only because of quality concern. I am from Hong Kong. And spending money buying Chinese products to me, is like Ukrainian spending money buying Russian products.

You'd be purchasing a Sea to Summit product, which is an Australian brand - head here for more information on the company if that helps in any way. Manufacturing partnerships are determined by the supplier, so we dont have any control over that side of things sorry. Unfortunately, we're not able to suggest an alternative product but I hope you can find something that works for you.
I am just wondering if I can push the valve down to secure it closed and to open it? It said to twist on bit of plastic around the valve but it seems to secure well just by pushing it in ? I don’t want to twist cause it looks like the plastic will snap but I also don’t want to ware out the valve if I am suppose to twist it on and off?

If I had a swag such as https://www.snowys.com.au/ranger-solo-plus-swag which normally folds in around its 45cm foam pad, would I be able to fold this mattress (large size 64cm) at the edges inside the swag so that it rolls up at its usual size (50cm)

Unfortunately not without potentially causing damage to the internal foam structures of the mat, as they're not designed to be folded.
Your best bet would be to remove the mat and roll separately, or look at a non-foam inflatable hiking mat alternative that can be easily folded.

In use:

Large - 198L x 64W cm
Rectangular Wide - 183L x 64W cm
Rectangular Large - 201L x 64W cm
All the above are 7.5cm thick when in use

If you are wanting a compact powered pump, the EXPED Widget is also compatible.
Ok lets face it I like my mattress fairly firm, pillow tops are not for me. I therefore will more than likely put a few puffs in a STS self inflating mattress to firm it up. Noting this, should I go for the 3.8 cm SI mat over the 7.5 cm camp plus Si mat to save a few $$$ and a little pack size/weight. Weight is not the highest priority as it will be used for motorcycle camping on a large capacity bike with a fair amount of luggage space. Appreciate your thoughts before I commit to a purchase.

The thickness comes down to comfort and what you're prepared to sleep on.
I personally wouldn't be getting anything thinner than 7-8cm because I'm not keen on feeling the ground through my mat. I toss & turn a lot in my sleep which makes that more of an issue.
If you're mostly a front or back sleeper, and doesnt move alot, the 3.8cm would be ok. The firmness of the mat comes down to the user and how much you do or don't want to pump it up. The other thing to consider is the R-Value of the mat, which tends to be lower in thinner mattresses.
Any sleeping bags tested to ASTM standards are tested on an R-Value 4 mat.
If your mat is less than this, your rated sleeping bag performance will likely be lower than stated.
G’day Snowys, I have the red Sea to Summit Comfort Plus SI mat for myself, which I am really happy with and I’m looking for an extra mat for my son. This one looks very similar, but will keep a few dollars in my pocket. I’ve been through the specs, and it looks pretty comparable but just wanted to ask if the material this one is made of is going to be louder than the red version? I love the soft top of the red, and think it will be good for minimising noise as he wriggles about overnight, but if this fabric is similar I might give this mat a go. Thanks, Lisa

It's a different fabric, but has a similar look and feel, definitely not noisy in a crinkly way like some of their hiking mats are known to be.
I think this is an excellent alternative that will save you some pennies, you won't be disappointed.
