I am looking for a gazebo to withstand rain if I'm off grid for a week. Is this a better option to chose over the coleman deluxe 3x3. Rain protection is important for me in choosing the right gazebo. Also can you buy a replacement canopy should it get damaged in anyway.
G'day Aldo,
The Breakaway Gazebo has a waterhead rating, whereas the Coleman Deluxe 3x3 doesn't, so if you're looking for rain protection, the Breakaway is the way to go. They are also made from a heavier duty matieral, so they are a great option. We don't hold stock of the replacement canopies, but we can generally special order them from Outdoor Connection for you.
Hello, is this model the same as on the OC website https://outdoorconnection.com.au/collections/breakaway-gazebo/products/outdoor-connection-breakaway-gazebo The specs are different regarding waterhead rating, type of fabric, different heights and weight of the gazebo. Which specs are accurate please? Also, are the legs 30x30mm and 0.8mm thick and can you peg them down like the oztrail one please?
G'day Sylvain,
We've just updated our specifications on these this morning. We reached out to Outdoor Connection, and they confirmed the changes. The specs on our website are now correct and match Outdoor Connection. Unfortunately we don't have a display model to physically measure and confirm the legs, but you can peg them like the Oztrail gazebos, and they are supplied with some pegs and guy ropes.
How does this rate for ease of set up compared to the Coleman or Oztrail ones? It seems to have a better waterproof rating than them but I'm wondering if there is a downside?
G'day Michelle,
The Breakaway Gazebo sets up in a similar way to the Coleman and Oztrail Gazebos, but as you indicate, it does have a better waterhead rating on the canopy fabric. Overall it's hard to know how this model will compare as it is fairly new, however Outdoor Connection have been making great quality gazebos for quite some time, so we think they'll be quite good.
