Buy Australian - buy the True Blue Bluey Bigfoot Dome Swag. Not only is it made with quality components and packed with all the features you want, it also comes at a great price.
Poles are Australian made from 9mm fibreglass with a vinylester coating and carry a lifetime warranty while mesh screens the top entry and features a full canvas closure. The 60mm Eco friendly foam mattress compliments a roomy interior with ventilation from a full mesh front with zip up interior canvas flap and weather protective awning.
Finished off with 25mm straps and buckles for storage and transport and an interior organiser pocket, the Bluey Bigfoot Dome is a standout entry level swag for budding outdoors people.
Reluctantly followed the label and did not season prior to use. 1st time used it rained and we were dry with no leaks! Yay. Unlike several others in our group who had leaks in new swags from other brands even after seasoning. The mattress seemed a bit thin but we replaced it with an awesome exped mattress (also from Snowy's) The swags were easy to set up and dried quickly
I got one of these swags but my current stretcher (210 x 80) is a little narrow for it. The length is ok since I don't use the middle and feet poles. Cheers
From looking at the dimensions it would seem your best bet would be the Outdoor Connection Sundowner Titan Stretcher, as the Bluey Bigfoot is 216L x 90W cm and the Sundowner is 218L x 102W.
What makes the Oztrail Mitchell Expedition swag so much more expensive than this one? On paper this seems like the better option with value for money.
If that’s the case, the True Blue Bluey Bigfoot has a lifetime pole warranty, is lighter, and the canvas will be slightly higher quality so it will wear better over time - so it very well may have the edge over the Mitchell King Single.
The Mitchell King Single is from a bigger brand, so I suppose perhaps True Blue has priced their Bluey Bigfoot to be more competitive. We’re not too sure on this, we just try and deliver the best price to our customers off of the retail price. Either swag is a solid choice, but I would say it does seem the Bluey is better value for money.
Just wondering if the swag is entirely made in Australia
I've just had a look at the Manufacturer's information, and i've found that this swag's fibreglass poles and foam (Dunlop) are made in Australia, and the swag is also assembled in South Australia.
The only part of the swag made overseas is the canvas, which is made in India or Pakistan as that is where the highest quality canvas comes from.
Hi Wendy, I’ve just had a look for you myself and the True Blue Bluey Bigfoot Dome Swag has a base that is made from waterproof canvas.
