With a compact size and durable materials, the Oztrail Biker Swag is perfect for individuals setting themselves up for motorcycle touring, horseback adventures, or anyone with restricted packing space.
A slightly lighter weight 230gsm SatProof 600+ ripstop canvas combines with a 5cm open cell foam mattress in a 2 pole dome design that packs up to just 50cm in length for easy packing onto a motorbike. The waterproof PVC base adds another level of water protection both when in use and when strapped to your bike.
Easy access through top and end openings both with canvas and mesh layers which combine with a weather protected mesh panel at the foot end for superior ventilation. Heavy duty roll straps are incorporated into the design making your Biker Swag quick and easy pack up.
Light, easy and quick to erect and roomy.
Arrived 2 days early and has been great. Got it for our 10 year old. He sets it up and loves being outside even more. It will last him for years
Compact and Roomy for its size. Mattress a bit average. Replaced with self inflating which makes the overall size bigger but is now more comfortable
Nice little swag however the description doesn't mention that the mattress is only 500mm wide, when the swag it self is 750mm wide. Canvas and stitching is first rate. The headend pole snapped after the second use, luckily I contacted Snowy's and they replaced it under warrant. Can't fault the after sale service.
Bought 3 of these for the kids. These are great little swags. Easy to roll up. Kids loved them on our month long road trip.
I love the Biker Swag. It's nice and light and fits on the bike nicely
I bought this for my husband s he has been living around a tent every time he goes away. He was so impressed with the size and weight of the swag. Awesome product. Heat service from the company and fast delivery. I ordered it not expecting to get it in time for his birthday but received it in 3 days. Highly recommend the product and the company.
Great swag. Nice and comfortable. Stable in windy weather. Only detractor was the pegs for tying the guy lines. They were too thin for sandy soil and too hard to plant in stony ground. Will be going to buy proper tent pegs to hold my guy lines.
Snowys had the most competitive price I could find for this swag online! Couldn't believe how fast it arrived, ordered on Monday night, arrived Wednesday morning to central west NSW. Thanks Snowys!
Great little swag that rolls down small. Ordered and got to door in good time. Thanks Snowys
What is the model, price and weight etc of your recommended swags with this feature ? Starting from the less to the more expensive.
Most swags will have ventilation at the foot end, a great quality and affordable option would be the Oztrail Mitchell King which is available for pre-order here (currently undergoing an update in the model).
If you'd like to discuss more of the specifics around the swag range, please don't hesitate to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and we can talk these through with you.
On a hot night I imagine that flow through ventillation is important. Maybe I need a different model to have that feature ?
No mesh at the foot end with the Oztrail Biker Swag, unfortunately. If this is a feature you're after for the added ventilation, I'd recommend looking at a different model.
I wish to deflate the air mattress inside the swag with my sleeping bag and roll it up all together
I've heard a few stories of people doing this. No reason why you can't. Would be a great way to save a bit of extra weight and room.
I'm currently travelling Australia, and have had some bad experiences in hostels, so my question is, can I just set this up on top of my hostel bed?
The Oztrail Biker Swag isn't going to be a good option to use indoors, as it's not freestanding. You might be able to tie it to the bunk to give it its structure, but we can't guarantee that would work.
You may want to consider using a combination of a mat, with a fitted sheet over it, on top of the hostel bed - that way you'll still have a buffer between you and the bed.
How waterproof is this swag in general and what is there to stop water getting in the head end?
The Oztrail Biker Swag has a waterhead rating of 600mm which is similar to other Oztrail Swags across their range. The difference is that as it is designed to be a lightweight and compact swag, the canvas isn't as thick as others with its GSM being lower. I'd say that a good description of its ability would be that it can withstand rain showers, but I wouldn't feel too confident in storms.
At the head end, the canvas panel is zipped internally allowing you to close off from ventilation if the weather does turn, without getting out of the swag.
Hi, I was wondering how well this holds up in rain/heavy rain as it doesn't appear to have a flap at the head end, to cover the zip?
From looking at the product image I can see where your concern is, I've just had a look at our display model - and the Oztrail Biker Swag does have a canvas flap that will cover the mesh/zip.
In rainy conditions, just guy rope it out taut, and you should have full water protection.
Hi, I have been given a biker swag but poles a broken. Can I buy a new set? Thanks heaps. Cheers
Hi Peter, the good news is that Darche do sell the Ranger Solo Biker Poles as spare parts, so you can have that swag up and running again. We don’t sell spare parts through our online store - but if you give our service team a call on 1300 914 007 then we can take down your full details and sort something out for you. Just make sure you mention this online inquiry to get them up to speed.
The picture shows the swag has the metal poles but they aren't listed in the description. Also does it come with a carry bag or do I have to purchase one seperately? Finally, I am intending to use the swag up north in the Pilbara, will I need an airbed or should the mattress be sufficient and if so, what type do you recommend?
Exciting news, your order has left our warehouse! If you'd like to keep an eye on it's journey, click the button below.
