More of a plate/bowl combination, the Sea To Summit XL Bowl has the same design as the ever popular X Bowl, only 77% larger.
Used as either a big bowl, or fold the sides down and use as a plate, the XL Bowl is made with European standard compliant food grade silicone sides securely bonded to a high temperature food grade nylon.
The larger base provides more area for food preparation and doubles as a chopping board, and the whole thing packs down flat for easy transport.
Used for 2.5 weeks- first damage in week 1 as left folded upside down on sloping rock. Gravity-> grated holes in soft folds. Luckily these were in the higher fold so could still use. Additional fine holes in other folds from super gentle sand washing to get garlic oil off before custard-only washed with sand once.

This is the larger of the 2 X bowls. Its probably too big for cereal for most people, but a great size for a thick stew, pasta or rice dish.
Not at all flimsy, the side walls are a good thickness and remain sturdy even when filled with hot food. The base is some sort of fancy plastic and rigid, you can use the underside of the base as a chopping board if you're trying to reduce pack weight. Squashes down to about a centermeter high & can fit inside some of the other X range.
I love this product, packs flat, is light and durable. However I think XL is too big I think the regular size would be best.
