Perfect size

I used this bowl for cereal and then at night for dinner, during the day we could also use the bowl as a chopping board. Very happy with my purchase, it packs down to nothing and is very light weight.

Very convenient, very happy.

This is the smaller of the 2 X bowls. Its a good size for a bowl of cereal ar a smaller bowl of soup.
Not at all flimsy, the side walls are a good thickness and remain sturdy even when filled with hot food. The base is some sort of fancy plastic and rigid, you can use the underside of the base as a chopping board if you're trying to reduce pack weight. Squashes down to about a centermeter high & can fit inside some of the other X range.

Bit disappointed

I thought I was getting a big bowl to use for pasta or salad. This bowl is small.

I'm sorry to hear you're not loving your new bowl Kevin. Although I'm really glad you let us know - sounds like we need a better photo to show off the size, which I'll do right now. Thanks again! Laine :)

Great bowls

Purchased two different sizes for feeding and watering the little dog when camping or on the road. Very happy. Compact when "folded" and quite sturdy when in use.

Is this bowl material (also the mugs) microwave safe?1 answer

- NORTH MACKAY, QLD(2 years ago)
Good question Mel, and while I thought I was going to come back to you with a negative response, there is in fact a microwave safe symbol on the base of the whole x-series range of tableware. This is not the case with the newer x-pots and x-kettles which have an alloy base. Putting these in the microwave, whilst producing an interesting light show, would render your pot, and possibly your microwave useless.
