Is there a footprint available for this? Or are you able I tell me if the Marmot Limelight will fit okay?
G'day Dwayne,
Unfortunately, Oztrail doesn't make groundsheets for their hiking tents.
The Marmot Limelight isn't a perfect fit, but this doesn't mean it can't be used either.
How to pick between this, the EPE Spartan 2, the Oztrail Razorback or the Blackwolf grasshopper? Expected usage is year round, mostly south coast NSW 2-3 night pack hikes. Stat sheets only tell so much, whats the feeling of these in person?
G'day Nathan,
We’ve had the Grasshopper in our range for a while, and we find it to be a reliable, well-made tent that proves to be a popular choice for our customers. Â
The Vertex and Razorback newer to us but from seeing and feeling the Razorback and Vertex in person – they do feel a step down in quality compared to the Grasshopper.
We’ve had the Spartan for the least amount of time in our range, but we don’t have one on display. In general we find EPE to be a reliable brand in terms of quality though.Â
It sounds like long-term durability and quality are your main criteria, so if that’s the case I would say that the Grasshopper is going to be the best choice out of those four option.Â
Picking a tent can sometimes be a tricky task, so if you’re having trouble deciding – give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and we’d be happy to talk you through the range.Â
