How does this ultra sil version compare to the standard 10L version in terms of durability?
G'day Dan,
UltraSil tends to be really strong & can handle most things, but it does wear quicker with abrasion.
I'd probably be conscious of the surfaces you are using it on regularly, and you do tend to sacrifice abit of lifespan with ultra light weight gear, but otherwise its an awesome option.
Can it handle hot/warm water for washing?
G'day Nicm,
Yes the Ultra-Sil Kitchen Sink can handle hot water for washing.
I was hoping to use this to do laundry in, but i was wondering how small it was when packed away? Also how this works since it says it has a stainless steel ring in it too keep it standing. I was thinking of using the 10L foldable bucket instead but i dont think that's free standing when full of water..?
G'day Anne,
I've just checked and the Ultra-Sil Kitchen Sink 10L is 12cm diameter x 3cm thick when packed away. The stainless steel ring in the top in flexible and folds back in on itself, much like a beach shelter or windscreen shade. The sink will suit if you want to do laundry in it, or the bucket will suit if you need to move it around in the process.
