Great tent and high quality

We would have liked to have purchased the bigger blackwolf tent but just too heavy for us. This one was great, light to lift and relatively easy to put up. The colour coordinated poles made it so easy. The tent is really high quality and very spacious inside. We just need to see how it holds in the rain but overall on first use, we are very happy.

Great family car camping tent

Been borrowing a turbo tent for a while now, but it was too cramped for 4 and took up most the boot. We bought the Tuff dome and have camped about a week so far and we are impressed. It's more expensive than other dome tents out there but much better quality. Well made and seems durable, with very sturdy poles. We dealt with a day or two of torrential rain with no issues. It's a great size - we fit 4 (two young kids) with plenty of room for bags, but would still work well for 2 adults when we one day boot the kids out. Fits easily into the bag when packed down. Glad we chose it.

High quality

Great tent. Easy to set up and pack. Takes a little while but very straight forward and easy for 1 person. Very roomy for 4 people. Haven't camped through any storms in it yet but seems to be very high quality.

Are you able to stand up in this tent properly? 1 answer

We purchased the Tanami delta 3, which is great for weekend, but after that our backs got sore. Looking for something a little larger we can stand up inside of.

G'day Shelley,

Completely understand your predicament. It depends on how tall you are. The Black Wolf Tuff Dome Plus is 190cm at its peak but then falls away from the middle by approximately 10-15cm.

Additional Shade 1 answer

Hi there, I purchased the tuff dome plus last year and I would like to include some additional shelter to the front of the tent for sitting, barbecuing etc. As far as I am aware there are no awnings available for this product. Could you please confirm. If there is not an awning, is there another shade coverage that you would recommend for the front of the tent?

- Sydney(1 year ago)

G'day Greg,

Nice choice of tent. You're right, there are no purpose-made awnings or shelters to go with the Tuff Dome Plus. However, you can simply place a gazebo or sun shade of some description at the front of the tent to provide a shelter to cook and relax in.

Have a gander at our gazebo range to see if anything catches your eye. To choose the right one, you need to consider what you're wanting to put under it; size; whether it needs to provide just shade or rain protection too; and your budget.

If you have any questions about any of the shelters, let me know. Cheers, Paul

Can this tent be erected by one person? 1 answer

I have a Coleman 'easy up' 6 person tent which I can easily erect by myself even though the instructions say 2 people are needed... so wondering about this one

- HAHNDORF, SA(1 year ago)
Hi Marg, This tent will require some help to setup unlike the Coleman instant up 6 person tent, as this tent inner doesn't come with the poles pre-attached. So you'll need to actually connect the poles together before feeding them through a sleeve each and securing them into their respective eyelets and then finally attaching the clips. After this is complete, you'll then need to get the outer waterproof fly over the tent and secure that in place as well. This will also be easier with two people as the 2 metre height can be difficult to clear by yourself. If you are setting up a tent by yourself, but still want a large space to sleep in there are several tents that would suit your needs. Please call us on 1300 914 007 and have a chat to one of our team members to help you choose the right tent for your needs.
