Question above
G'day Erin,
Bad news, I'm sorry to say. Black Diamond only sell pairs of all their trekking poles, so we can't even get a single one in for you. The best I could suggest would be to get a new pair and keep one aside in case you ever have another breakage.
hi I am 6 foot 2 inches/ 188 cm with 'long legs'. Are all the poles one size fits all? Or could you suggest a suitable size Thanks
G'day Russell,
As a fellow tall person, I feel your pain when it comes to things like this! The good news is that the Black Diamond Trail Back Trekking Poles are adjustable so you can adjust it right up to about 143cm high. This should make them a comfortable height for us tall fellas.
Thinking of getting these for my girlfriend as we're head on a hiking trip soon. Just wondering when the next load of stock will be in?
Hey Paul,
We've got a stack of these on order with an eta of mid-September. That's the best estimate I can give you at the moment. We'll take the out of stock notification down as soon as we have stock in our warehouse.
Hi is the new stock still on track for early August? Looking to get some other products as well but will hold off if I can get it all shipped at same time?
G'day Travis,
To the best of my knowledge, the Black Diamond Trail Back trekking poles are due back into stock in early August. You're welcome to place an order now if you like and we can ship whats currently available and follow that with the poles when they arrive back in store here. What ever works best for you!
Hi, I am only 153cm tall, would these be suitable for my height. I am doing Kokoda in October. If not could you advise on another brand/style that would be suitable. thank you
G'day Michelle,
I've just grabbed a Black Diamond Trail Back hiking pole and the minimum height I can set it to is approximately 75cm. I reckon this should work for you!
Hi i was wondering if u could please tell me how much weight the poles will handle? Thanks.
G'day Daniel,
Great question. From undertaking some research, Black Diamond unfortunately don't provide a weight rating. However, independent reviewers have done some testing (can't vouch for how credible) on the Flicklock Mechanisms and the most common response is around 150kg load resistance on these connections.
Is the price per 1 pole? Is tge weight per pole as well?
G'day Martin,Â
I do apologise about the confusing name, but yes the Black Diamond Trail Back definitely comes in a pair (I checked the stock to be sure).
I'll make sure the name is changed to prevent further confusion Martin. The weight on the packaging of these poles says 562g so individually they'd be 281g per pole.Â
The 2016 edition comes with extra gripping areas below the hand grip. Is your current stock the 2015 edition from these photos, or has the photo not been updated since you received the latest ones? Thanks
Hi there, Are these trekking poles a pair or only a single pole?
Understandable that you'd be confused given the fact they mislabelled the item as "Tail Back Trekking Pole" But yes, these definitely come in pairs.
