OZtrail Tasman 6V Dome Tent
Details & Specs
Got an overnight trip coming up? Check. Got a couple of kids you need to bring along? Check. Don’t want to spend a fortune? Check. The Tasman 6V Dome Tent ticks all the boxes for an affordable family-friendly tent that will also fit into the back of your car.
The Tasman 6V Dome Tent is ideal to be used in warmer climates, due to its breathable polyester inner - which provides enough airflow to keep you cool on a summer night. The windows are covered with No-See-Um mesh which will allow fresh air to come through the tent. When nature calls, you won’t have to worry about stumbling over in the dark, as the doors on the Tasman are a user-friendly D shape.
The cross-pole configuration makes the Tasman easier to set up and will help prevent water from pooling on the fly. The fly has been treated with a silver coating which will reflect the heat while also added an extra element of protection in adverse weather. You can illuminate your tent at night by attaching an optional light to the lantern hook inside, and you can keep your valuables tucked away thanks to the handy internal organiser pockets. For a small family tent that’s simple, portable and easy to use – the OZtrail Tasman 6V is a great entry-level option.

What size ground sheet would work best for this tent?
G'day David,
The Oztrail Ultramesh Tarp in 3.05 x 3.05m will suit the Tasman 6V best.
Hi, Can you please advise the awning poles used in the photo? Is it the Oztrail 180cm? Also the guy ropes? Thanks
G'day Becky,
Take a look at the OZtrail Awning Pole Set and you can check out some guy rope options HERE
Please answer my question
G'day Diane,
The maximum internal head height inside the tent is 195cm.
I want a tent that has the. thicker fibre glass poles and an adequate clip hook system to suspend the inner tent. Please confirm that this oztrail 6v model has the "inner tent" suspended from the cross poles by adequate clip hooks and not by fabric tubes that are very difficult to set up in wet weather. I think I can see hooks in the pictures. I definitely don't want a tent with the thread thru tube system. Thanks. Ian
Hi Ian, you are correct, the inner tent is suspended by clips to the poles and there are no sleeves to contend with. As for the pole diameter, the main poles are 11mm and the vestibule is 9.5mm. I've uploaded a user manual to our product page which shows all the set-up and pole details, hopefully, this helps.
Does this tent have a cord entry point ?
G'day Jay,
Unfortunately, there is no electrical cord entry point on the Oztrail Tasman 6V dome tent. We'd recommend running the cord through where the zips join on the door.
