Slicker than the original, the lightweight yet tough Targhee EXP Mid Boots from Keen are updated and ready for the trail.
These boots are constructed from performance mesh with a polyurethane-coated leather mud shield for extra durability out in the field. Your feet will be kept dry, but they’ll still be able to breathe thanks to the KEEN.DRY waterproof membrane. Comfort is provided by the breathable mesh lining, while the removable EVA footbed and compression moulded EVA midsole cushions your feet as you walk. These boots also have a resilient internal nylon shank for lightweight support and a non-marking rubber outsole for grip.

Are these boots suitable for Heavyweight hiking?1 answer
Are these boots good for walking up to 5 days with a heavy pack?
Erik Adair - Seven Hills(5 years ago)
G'day Erik,
The Keen Targee is a mid-weight boot and whilst I would say they are fine for carrying a heavy pack, it's worthwhile considering the terrain as well. If you're hiking on reasonably well-maintained trails boots like these are fine. If you were going to spend 5 days walking 'off track' in Tasmania, I'd probably recommend something heavier. Feel free to give us a call on 1300 914 007 and you can have a chat with one of our boot experts about where you're planning on walking and what sort of boots would be best suited.
