Lightweight yet tough, the Targhee EXP Mid Boots from Keen will protect your feet and get you where you need to go on your next expedition.

This version of the Targhee is made to be lighter, so it’s constructed from performance mesh with a polyurethane coated leather mud shield for extra durability. Your feet will be kept dry, yet still be able to breathe thanks to the KEEN.DRY membrane. Comfort and cushioning are provided by the breathable mesh lining, removable EVA footbed and compression moulded EVA midsole.

These boots also have a resilient internal nylon shank for lightweight support. The leaner Targhee EXP Mid Boots from Keen are the sprightly choice for exploring the trails.

Are these boots suitable for Heavyweight hiking?1 answer

Are these boots good for walking up to 5 days with a heavy pack?

- Seven Hills(2 weeks ago)

G'day Erik,

The Keen Targee is a mid-weight boot and whilst I would say they are fine for carrying a heavy pack, it's worthwhile considering the terrain as well. If you're hiking on reasonably well-maintained trails boots like these are fine. If you were going to spend 5 days walking 'off track' in Tasmania, I'd probably recommend something heavier. Feel free to give us a call on 1300 914 007 and you can have a chat with one of our boot experts about where you're planning on walking and what sort of boots would be best suited.
