Q&A's (6)
I notice that the website says they are no longer available. Is there another suitable product?
G'day Danielle,
Unfortunately, the sun walls have been discontinued by the manufacturer, so they're no longer available. There aren't really any other options that will be a direct fit, as unfortunately, they're quite a unique shape.
looking for a quick option to put up over camper trailer kitchen for shade and rain resistant
G'day Kathy,
The waterhead rating is only 600mm which means its not a particularly waterproof shelter. A tent is normally around 3000mm so it would be worth spraying this with a waterproof spray and also seam sealing the seams.
Am I able to cook under the shelter?
G'day Justus,
Yes you'll be able to cook under the Swift X3 Instant Shelter, just be sure not to cook under it if you have all the walls set up.
How much shade without the walls does the roof give compared to base size
G'day Donna,
The Roman Swift X3 Instant Shelter is 3m x 3m at the foot end of the shelter, the roof section will be a little smaller as there is a slight taper. In terms of shade, you'll generally get a little less than this depending on the time of day. I would suggest buying at least one wall so you can block the sun on one side.
I would like to know if this shelter is suitable for the beach and can bear strong winds on the beach? Thanks
G'day Alberto,
I think these would be a great option down at the beach. As far as the wind goes it's very hard to say. As a general rule, I'd say any shelter this size is going to be affected by the wind and you'll need to make sure it's properly pegged down and any guys ropes are being used as well. If the wind picks up too much my advice with any shelter like this would be to take it down as quickly as you can to avoid any dramas.
Do you have the extra walls instock and how much do the cost? Are they a zip on or velcro feature?
