The creation of the Swedish FireKnife® was a collboration between Light My Fire and Mora of Sweden, a company that has been producing knives since the 1800's.

The result was a functional, sharp and sturdy knife with a built-in Swedish FireSteel® in a playful range of colours. The blade is shaped from Sandvik 12C27 Stainless Steel and is mounted in a comfortable TPE rubber material that gives it a soft and grippy feel.

A magnesium alloy Swedish FireSteel® mounted in the handle is easily removed with a twist and is used with the back of the knife to produce hot sparks to ignite a stove or tinder, even when it's wet. Mounted in a durable plastic sheath with belt clip, the Light My Fire FireKnife® is a great all-round blade for campsite tasks and food preparation.

Good but I would want one adjustment.

I bought this having never attempted to light a fire with a flint before. Can I suggest practising before needing it? It's very dependent on having the right fuel.

The knife itself is very good. The only thing I would change is to have a latch to hold the knife in the sheath. I wrapped the cord around the sheath clip just because I don't like wearing the knife and if I put it in my bag, I'm afraid the knife and sheath will separate and cause all sorts of drama.

Shipping was quick.
