I've just measured the inseam up on the XL size as 78cm, which is right to the bottom cuff edge of the pants.

There is a boot gusset zip at the bottom of each leg. The zipper is a one way zip.

I reckon the 3XL would be the way to go mate. They're designed to go over existing clothing so sizing up wont hurt.

They are waterproof, Rebecca. The fabric has a 5000mm waterhead rating which is going to keep you dry in your average downpour. The only limitations you may find is if you are undertaking heavy bushwalking are crawling around in these, for these activities you may want to consider a heavier duty pant. But for travel, hiking and general use, these are more than suitable.

The Rainbird Stowaway Adult Pants are relatively long in the legs but the sizing chart does suggest that you can your measurement from your waist and choose a pant size from your waist measurement. 

Their size suggestions are:

XS – 75cm

S – 80cm

M – 85cm

L – 90cm

XL – 95cm

2XL – 100cm

3XL – 105cm
