Engel 80lt upright fridge freezer 1 answer
Can I put a small fan inside my fridge
Paul - Mansfield, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day Paul,
I'm not sure exactly what you mean sorry. If you are talking about modifying the fridge to install a fan, then it's not something we would recommend. Any aftermarket modifications will immediately void the warranty. If you are talking about putting something like a small 12v fan inside the fridge, you'd need to provide it with power and the cable will compromise the seal. You could potentially fit a small battery-powered fan in the fridge, but I'm not sure what the benefit would be, and not sure it would be worth sacrificing the space it would take up. Another thing to consider is condensation and moisture, and how that will affect an unsealed electrical device in the fridge.

240v to 12v 1 answer
Do you just cut the 240v lead off for 12v or was it suppose to come with 2 seperate wiring looms
Michael - Koo Wee Rup, VIC(2 years ago)
G'day Michael,
I've just had a squiz at the fridge for you, and we definitely don't want to be cutting the 240V lead off. What you'll see on the back of the fridge is an elongated rectangular box that the 240v lead comes out of. Down the bottom of that box there is a metal plate with an orange sticker, held on by a single screw. If you unscrew and remove that plate, all the DC wiring & fuse is all contained within that little hatch. For 12/24v it will need to be hardwired.
