just checking - this sleeps two but with only one side with a zip, the other person has to clamber over their partner to get out during the night? Can you suggest a black fabric pop up mosquito net dome for two with access each side so the other person isn't distrubed?

Yes that's right, this Speedy Mozzie Shelter just has the one door, so you'd need to climb over the other person for access. We don't have any other pop up style options, but the Mozzie Dome IV Tent has two doors and might suit your needs.
Will it keep midges out? It says strong mesh and not no see um

The mesh material is quite fine, so it should do a fairly good job of keeping most things out, however, the only truly midge proof mesh is No-See-Um. Unfortunately, this mesh isn't used in these shelters, but if you use the shelter in combination with repellant you shouldn't have any worries.
Wanting to sit in here in the evening, could 2 camp chairs fit in here easily?

If you're sitting on low beach/concert style chairs then you should be ok, however, the peak head height in the centre is only 140cm, so as the sides taper down, you'll find you won't be able to sit on a standard height chair.
Have you got a set up/pack up video. Would a average swag (7ft) fit in okay?

I've just tried the Zempire Speedy Stretcher Bed inside the Speedy Mozzie shelter and I can confirm that it fits. The length was right on the limit though so if your stretcher is longer than 190cm it might be pushing it.
