If your camp set up could use a nice undercover area for relaxing under, then the Speedy Air Shelter is a quick pitch solution for your weather woes.
This inflatable shelter will add plenty of shelter to your camp set up and inflates quickly with its one-piece TPU beam. With plenty of headroom for even the tallest of campers, you can walk in and out of the Speedy Air Shelter without bumping your head. And, it also comes with one zip wall included if you need a bit of wind protection or privacy.
If you’re the type that manages to get burnt even when you’re sitting under a tree wearing a hat, then the SPF50 rating on this shelter is going to be a godsend when you’re trying to protect yourself from that harsh summer sun. And, if the weather turns sour - this Air Shelter has a 2000mm

Do the outside ropes have to be used or can it be just pegged at the base1 answer

G'day Richard,
You can just peg the base corners of the Explore Planet Earth Speedy Air Shelter however it isn't recommended. All of the guy ropes should be used to ensure structural stability, and if you do happen to have a problem with the shelter the first question the warranty assessment team will ask is 'Were all of the guy ropes pegged out?'. So if you choose not to peg them out you do so at your own risk.

Comparison - zempire aerobase1 answer
Hi - how does this compare to the zempire aerobase? Ease of set up? Stability in strong winds? Thanksad

G'day Barb,
That's an excellent question and both of these shelters have some great qualities. The Zempire Aerobase comes with some fibreglass supports as well as the inflatable tubes, which add a bit of strength to the shelter that you probably won't get with the Explore Planet Earth Speedy Air Shelter. The Zempire also has a much thicker canopy, which is good for quality but means that it weighs a lot more. The Zempire is nearly 3 times the weight of the Explore Planet Earth option, so will be a little harder to lug around and get ready for set up.

I've just double checked this with Explore Planet Earth and unfortunately, we're still not able to get our hands on any extra side walls for the EPE Speedy Air Shelter I'm sorry! As soon as they're available, we'll make sure we get them in stock.

I've called up Explore Planet Earth, and they've confirmed that unfortunately extra mesh or solid walls are not available for the Speedy Air Shelter at this time.

Additional Sides1 answer
Can you get additional sides so that it can be enclosed completely? Thinking of using it as a kitchen tent instead of the heavy Delux Gazebo...can it withstand wind like a gazebo?

I’ve just given Explore Planet and it seems that you can’t get additional walls and as far as they know they’re not planning on bringing them out in the near future.
The Speedy Air Shelter is a little different from a Deluxe Gazebo, but as if set up properly it should offer the same level of stability. There’s a great video of it being set up that you might want to check out over on youtube here which might be helpful.

The straps need to remain in place on the Explore Planet Earth Speedy Air Shelter, as they provide structure and support. The straps prevent the legs from being pushed outwards. Not all air shelters are like this, however, this is the case with this particular design.

Hi, I'm trying to get an understanding of the structure. Could you tell me what the 'air' refers too, I'm assuming its inflatable channels, but that looks loke a pole in the picture. Perhaps it has a combination? Also what are those white ladder looking things around the bottom edge, pegging points? Is there a mesh wall available as well? Thanks :)

The 'air' in the Explore Planet Earth Speedy Air Shelter refers to the fact that all poles are filled with pressured air through the hand pump (included) to give the shelter its structure. There are no solid poles involved. The poles are made from a TPU Air Bladder and then supported by the guy ropes as seen in the image.
At this stage, there is no video or additional images available on this shelter, however, we can work on this with Explore Planet Earth.
You're correct that the white toggles at the base of the poles are the pegging points.
Unfortunately, at this stage, Explore Planet Earth aren't offering additional mesh or solid walls but hope to do so later this year (October 2017 is their current ETA).

We're actually not too sure about this, so we've called Explore Planet Earth about the vents. Good news is they are going to set one up for us and then let us know - so as soon as we hear from them we'll let you know what they say.
