Explore Planet Earth Speedy Pop Up Tent Watch video

Get your sleeping quarters set up in seconds with the Explore Planet Earth Speedy 4 Person Tent. The 2016 Speedy has been revamped to include an integrated LED light system on the inside of the tent, all you do is hook it up to an optional standard USB power bank. You’ll never have to fumble in the dark again!

To set up you simply take the Speedy Tent out of its carry bag and pop it open. The all-in-one construction means the fly, floor and inner pitch together, so all you need to do is place a few pegs in the ground. This model uses resin poles which are stronger and more malleable than their competition, which means they’re as easy to set up as they are to pack away.

The windows can be rolled open on warm nights, or zipped closed in adverse weather leaving two vents that still provide plenty of airflow. The Speedy Tent guarantees less time spent setting up camp, and more time taking in the great outdoors.

  • Compatible with standard portable USB power bank
  • Dual skin all in one waterproof construction
  • Single entry
  • Side windows
  • Interior organiser pockets
  • Includes backpack carry bag, pegs and guy ropes

pegging out issue???

I have had smaller versions of this (EPE2 and EPE3)that have been great, quick up and down, 4 stakes no probs. However, pegging the EPE4 man is a bit different. I found that the instructions are a bit silly. To keep the roof top taught, the front and back floor edges need to have the 3 pegs(3 front and 3 back) just about "inline" not as a nice smooth curve (per instructions which is good for the EPE2, and 3) else the hoop portions holding the roof up will flip back and bow towards each other at the top. Not good as other post reported similar. Also peg out with the side flaps zippered close. Hope this helps By the way, perfect for 2 people + stuff!!

Nice & Quick

It most certainly is speedy. Makes packing and unpacking very swift, which we find ideal. Takes a couple of goes to suss out the packing down procedure, but once you have the knack of it, its not an issue. Not sure how it would fare in 'less desirable' weather conditions, but we generally plan ahead and avoid such situations, and have back up plans in place. We do like the tent, and do plan on purchasing another, so we have one for the two kids and one for the parents.

emergency tent

perfect in blackout the other day - we popped in the dining roomin the dark ( after moving collapsable table ) and got in escaping malaria and dengue mosquitos - slept so good we did it the second night as well even when the electricity was back

Roof dips causing damp

No matter how you peg this tent down the roof dips and sinks causing condensation to build up and drip inside the tent. Must be a manufacture default

Response from Snowys Apr 26 2017

G'day Dan,

Condensation can be tricky in most tents, so we put our heads together and came up with a blog post on How to Manage Condensation in your Tent.
If rainwater is building up on the roof, then that is an issue as it's designed to run off the sides. If that's the case, please give us a call on 1300 914 007 so we can fix the problem. I hope this helps. Laine :)

Is this the latest model1 answer

Just wondering if this is the latest model as your picture looks different to others that are advertising as new model. I hear great things about your customer service so would like to purchase from you if possible.

Hi Kristy,

The dates on the models we have in stock are 2016/2017 so I believe that is the most up to date model.

Is it possible to replace / repair the poles in these tents if they are broken1 answer

I have an old one similar to this. I had to pack it up in a hurry, I had never done it before and when I unpacked it to dry and clean it, I discovered the top pole above the door was snapped. It is now clean and dry but wont fold up due to the busted pole. Can it be mended, or replaced? If so how?

- Port Vincent(8 months ago)

G'day Debbie,

It's rare that a breakage would occur on a Speedy or Malamoo tent, but in terms of fixing the poles on your tent - it can be quite a fiddly thing to do, so it may be best to give us a call with a bit more info, so we can advise you what would be the best thing to do.

Does the Speedy 4 pack into a disk-shaped bag?1 answer

We've owned a speedy 2 and a speedy 3, got the knack of twist and fold. Is the speedy 4 a similar concept? Also estimate time from payment to arrival in Perth WA

- Swanbourne, WA(12 months ago)

Same concept with the Speedy 4 Frank, just on a larger scale! Pretty simple once you've got the hang of it, and it sounds like you've had plenty of practice :) Allow about a week for delivery to Perth.
