A quality shelter from an Australian company, the Wilderness Equipment Space 2 Hiking and Backpacking Tent is lightweight, compact and has some unique built in stability features that make it suitable for a wide range of seasons.

A ‘dihedral hub’ system forms tons of internal space, whilst entrances and vestibules on both sides create an adaptable shelter for two. Internally the Space 2 features a hub to hub tension link and eyelets in each vestibule so trekking poles can be added to create structural support and a superior level of stability rarely seen in such a lightweight tent.

Both sides of the vestibule entrances can be rolled open for shower resistant ventilation and the inner pitched alone for an insect proof shelter. Ultra-lightweight trekkers can pitch the Space 2 flysheet as a single skin shelter when combined with the optional groundsheet.

Quality materials throughout and carrying the quality and durability Wilderness Equipment is renowned for, the Space 2 Hiking Tent is a reliable investment into your trekking adventures.

Brilliant, light and easy

We used this ultra light tent on the GR11 trek 37 days across the Pyrenees. Slept two people and sometimes hike pack inside as well. Light to carry, easy to erect and good ventilation on the warmer nights and snug on the cooler. Withstood several Spanish thunderstorms. Highly recommended. We also used the ground sheet, also brilliant.

Simple, light, effective hiking tent

I rate this ultra light tent after using it for my first ever hiking trip 130km in 5 days Cape to Cape in WAs South West. Took it through sand dunes to bush escarpment. The pegs are pretty ineffective in sand but aside from that two people fit comfortably in the space for four nights. Better use could be just me and the pack but easily packed into my bag each day and a zero stress set up. Recommend the add on ground sheet, the ultralight design needs a bit of a buffer from rough or wet ground

Hi guys does this tent come in a winter version?1 answer

Hey guys I know WE do a winter version of some of tent is it just a nylon inner that would make it a winter tent if so do u stock them/price? Thanks

- Weston NSW(3 months ago)

G'day Joshua,

While we don't stock it as the demand for 4-season tents is quite small, we are able to order the Wilderness Equipment Space 2 tent with a fabric inner as a special order for you. Please give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and our customer support team can look into and provide you with pricing and delivery times.

Would this tent fair well in southern Western Australian conditions? EG Bluff Knoll, Stirling Ranges.1 answer

Hi Michelle, you shouldn't have a problem with this tent, it is designed for Australian conditions and comes from a reputable manufacturer. However, commonsense always prevails as everything has it's limits and you should always set up your tent with consideration of prevailing winds, ground condition and waterways. Anything made for extremes in conditions usually comes heavy in both weight and price, and is overkill for a majority of the conditions you will be using the tent.
