A compact alternative to a gazebo, the Black Wolf Sonoran Screen Shelter creates plenty of bug-free space in your campsite but won’t take up much space packed away in your vehicle.

Mesh walls provide 360 degree views of your natural bush surrounds and roof vents aid the already ample ventilation.

A PE bucket floor and Polyester fly team up with roll-down waterproof flaps over each mesh wall so you can bunker down when the weather goes bad, and all of this packs down into a very manageable size.

  • Mesh walls all-round
  • Waterproof covers over mesh walls
  • Roof Vents
  • Zippered Power Cord Access
  • Includes Carry Bag

Quick and easy

We love this product. Have used it all around Cape York with a ground sheet. Just 5 pegs and poles and it's up. Have slept in it for one night stops. Great fine mesh stopping all bugs. Would highly recommend. Thanks Snowys for your excellent service we love dealing with you.

Very clever design

Will definitely suit our needs as an outside kitchen for our slide-on camper! We would have liked another door on the opposite side. Not bad quality for the price we paid at Snoweys. Will visit when we are in Adelaide next year.

Very good

We used this with the Coleman Instant up 10P and it was excellent - easy to put up and down, packs down well and light. The floor is disappointing and won't last too long I think - I would definitely recommend using a tarp underneath. Snowys service was excellent - quickly received and all questions answered within 24 hours. Thanks guys!!

Good overall

Love the product.
Not difficult to set up, and kept the insects out no problems.
Floor not very durable though.

A little disappointing

We used it for the first time two weeks ago. Over all it did the job well. However the floor developed small holes in it after a few days with only very careful and minimal use. Strange considering that it was put on a cleared and sandy area and we didn't wear shoes inside the tent. It also doesn't cope well with the wind, It survived a bad day, but only just. The zip on the front door has a tendency to catch on the water proofing flap. A little disappointed about the Sonoran Screen House. Although it is still functional the tent didn't last a week intact, a sign that the floor is not very well made. As for Snowy's employees, they are absolutely terrific and I am very happy with the great service and customer care they provide.

A little disappointing

The tent was set up according to the instructions but within an hour one of the telescopic poles splintered and was rendered useless.

Awesome service!

This is less a review of my purchase and more on Snowy's service! Wow! I ordered our Black Wolf Screen tent on Friday, online. Rang and checked stock and delivery. I was understandably cautioned with Christmas, etc. delivery may be a little partner said to me on Sunday night will our tent arrive? We really need it for Christmas eve camping..Well.. it arrived today, Monday. Super service and I know it will be a super product! Merry Christmas Snowy and the team at Hunter Express, thank you

Its great.

It is perfect for our family of 5, we can all fit in easily with our chairs due to the pentagon shape. Much better than the oztent screen room this replaces. Easy to set up once you know how. Its good in the wind and rain too, with the exception of the door. The rain pools and a river runs down off the fly and straight onto the door opening, so entering the tent can cause an instant puddle inside.

How many people can sleep in there?1 answer

Hi, Does anyone knows how many people can sleep in there?

- 4000(2 weeks ago)

G'day Sonic,

We'd recommend that you'd be able to fit 4-5 people in the Black Wolf Sonoran Screen House Tent if you wanted to sleep in it. I might just make mention though that we've discontinued this tent.

Does this need a tarp underneath?1 answer

Just wanted some customer feedback as to whether you think this needs a tarp underneath or does it do ok without?

- Australind(11 months ago)

G'day Rebecca,

The Sonoran has a HD polyethylene floor which is pretty durable but adding a tarp will always prolong the life of your product.
A good option for a tarp is the Oztrail Ultramesh range as this will allow any moisture to escape. (The 8x12 size should be perfect.)

Warranty and Returns?3 answers

Hi Snowys team, I got this tent from you less than a year ago and last camping a piece of the tent tore off (the one that hooks to the side poles - can send a picture). How do I have it warrantied? Thanks guys!

Do screens zipper down?1 answer

Hi just wondering if the screens all zipper down too? Also it looks like there are two doors at the front - one which is a screen and the other to keep to the rain out. Is that right?

- Traralgon(1 year ago)

Hi Wendy,

Yes that’s right, the Sonoran Screen House has zippered waterproof flaps that can be rolled down to cover the mesh walls, and the door also has a mesh and solid option that can be zipped up if it’s raining.

Assembly1 answer

Is this tent easy to erect? I am after a tent that I can use as a spare room when visitors come. I will put it up under cover in our garage. I need a tent that is perfectly sealed ( against Insects etc) I was also looking at the Oztent screen house however it doesn't look like it has a builtin floor?

- Lugarno NSW(1 year ago)

G'day Sue,

The Sonoran Screen Tent is similar to other dome tents in that you have to assemble the poles, thread them through the sleeves, and so on – so it would take you roughly the same amount of time as a normal tent. You can check out the instructions here, which will give you a better idea of how it all comes together.

As long as you zip everything up, the Sonoran should provide you with an insect free space, but as for the Oztent Screen House – you’re right, it doesn’t come with a floor whereas the Sonoran does.

This screen house freestanding, so theoretically you will be able to use it in a garage - but we’ve never had any feedback from other customers who have tried this, so if you decide to use it we’d love to hear how it went!

Height1 answer

As I am tall could u tell me the inside height please.

- Gympie(1 year ago)

Hi Jeuleine. Thanks for your question. The Black Wolf Sonoran Screen House Tent maximum inside head height is 200cm, which equates to about 6 foot 8 inches and is a fantastic environment to get away from those pesky bugs that always annoy us when we need them least. It has 360 degree views of your camp site and surrounds so it makes a great alternative to a gazebo with ample ventilation and then with roll down waterproof flaps can convert to an enclosed tent for when the weather is less than favourable.

do the covers over the mesh walls zipper down for a windproof / rainproof cover1 answer

- GRIFFITH, NSW(1 year ago)

Hi Patty, The waterproof covers over the mesh walls do zip down on either side to provide protection from the wind and rain if the weather gets bad. Hope that helps1

Sonoran Screen House Tent1 answer

How do you put it up? Also how long to erect? How many poles? A picture with the awning off Do you have a video

- Athelstone(1 year ago)
G'day Cecilia - Under the product description in the 'Details & Specs' tab, there is a link to the instructions which explains how to set the Sonoran up. It has 5 pole assemblies that clip into the central hub. I'm not sure how long it would take to set one up, having not done it myself, but I'd say 5 minutes or so based on the instructions and style of tent. This tent doesn't have an awning - do you mean fly? If so, click on the second thumbnail next to the main picture above. As for a video - I can't link to it here, but on YouTube search "Black Wolf Sonoran Screen House Tent", and it should be the first result posted by Black Wolf Adventure. Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul
