Solarmonkey Expedition Solar Panel

Get the sun to do something other than burn you – or, well, provide light – when you’re next on the track. With the Solarmonkey Expedition put the sun to work charging your favourite electronic device, or even your Powermonkey Explorer 2 or other 5V battery pack.

Made from hard-wearing brushed aluminium, the Expedition isn’t only durable and waterproof, it looks pretty snazzy too. The 5W panels will charge a smartphone or Go Pro in 3-4 hours, or a GPS in 2-3 hours. The clamshell case opens with a deliberately stiff hinge so it can be opened part way in order to catch the sun at the right angle. It is suitable to be strapped to the back of your pack or on top of the panniers on your bike to catch those rays while you're on the move. 

A DC to Micro USB cable will charge most smartphones and Micro USB-receiving devices, and the female Micro USB to female USB tip will take your standard Apple sync/charger cord. The Expedition is ideal for those looking for a small, lightweight solar panel that can stomach life in the bush.
