The Sigma Pot Set 2 from Sea to Summit is the dependable and thoughtfully designed cooking set for a couple or trio on an adventure.
Made from marine grade stainless steel, these pots have a grippy black base which helps absorb heat and prevents them from moving around in use. To make them more compact and user-friendly, these pots have a Pivot-Lock handle which stays secure in use and locks away safely for transport. When you’re cooking, rest the lid on the side of these pots thanks to the clever silicone LidKeep, and once you’re done with your meal, the large interior makes them easy to clean.
Draining pasta or vegetables is a breeze as the lids have strainers, and you can get precise measurements when cooking as the side of these pots have a graded scale. For camp kitchen gear that’s easy to pack and durable, you can rely on the Sigma Pot Set 2 from Sea to Summit.

Is the handle hard to swing out once it is locked in? Is there a trick to swinging it out?
G'day Allerina,
Check out the 1:47 mark of our Sigma Pot video for instructions on how to use the Pivot Lock.
If not, what do you recommend? Thanks.
G'day Larelle,
These pots are just designed for use on gas camp and hike style stoves. If you're looking for a good stainless steel option that you can use on the campfire or gas stove, then the Zebra Stainless Steel Billy is a great option.
My gas stove doesn’t simmer well and I currently use a diffuser on my ss pots.
G'day Marg,
If you're looking to simmer, and your stove doesn't simmer well, then I'd suggest using the diffuser with this pot as well. The base won't diffuse heat.
Wondering if the black coating is non toxic eg. does not give of toxic fumes when heated.
G'day Adrian,
The Black Base is a powdered silicone and is applied in a way that it won't product fumes.
we have one in our caravan
G'day Carol,
I've just given the Sea to Summit team a call to confirm, and they've told us that unfortunately these pots are not compatible with induction cook tops.
Can you use these pots with a gas burner stove such as Coleman Hyperflame? Or is there a better alternative?
G'day Jae,
Yes, you can use the Sea to Summit Sigma Pots on a Coleman stove. The main thing you'll want to check is that the flame doesn't lick too far up the side of the pot toward the handle. So we'd probably suggest going for one of the larger two sizes.
Does the Trangia 27 Kettle fit inside the 1.2L sigma pot?
G'day Alison,
I've just given this a whirl and I can confirm that yes, the Trangia 27 kettle will fit inside the 1.2L Sigma Pot!
Is the stainless steel 18/10 or 18/8?
G'day Dan,
The Sigma Pot Sets are made with premium Marine Stainless Steel so a little different to your standard food-grade stainless steel that has an 18/10 or 18/8 rating.
I had the scout set and anything above medium heat would blacken the material inside and out
G'day Micahel,
The Sigma Pot Sets are designed to be used on a standard hike style gas burner so they can handle a fair amount of heat as long as the flame doesn't extend beyond the base of the pot. I'm not familiar with a scout set, are they a spirit style stove?
