Waterproof, USB rechargeable and battery compatible – the Revolt is the high-performance headlamp that you need for your camping and hiking adventures.
With a maximum of 300 lumens, and full-strength proximity and distance modes, plus dimming, strobe red night vision and lock modes – the ReVolt provides versatility in the field. You can power this headlamp by the included rechargeable batteries, or you can use standard alkaline or lithium batteries depending on your preference. You won’t be caught out in the dark with this headlamp, as the three-level power meter will show you the remaining battery life.
The programmable brightness feature allows you to set the brightness when you first switch the lamp on, and the red night vision mode has proximity and strobe settings that can be activated without cycling through the white mode and destroying your night vision.
Overall the sleek low-profile design and nifty features of the ReVolt make it a slick and useful addition to your outdoor kit.
I lost one of these on a hiking trip over 12 months ago and recently went back and found it, lying on the ground covered in weeds and dirt. Chucked some new batteries in it and it works perfectly! Bloody excellent headlamp, 10/10 I also have the Black Diamond 'Storm' headlamp but I prefer the Revolt because it uses 3 batteries, not 4. I find 4 is a little heavy and the thing tends to slip and bob on my head.
No way! That's so cool David! Laine
Pro: light, compact, can be worn with a cycling helmet, great battery life out of alkaline batteries but only good for NiMH batteries. Quality is better than average. Light output is acceptable to very good for everyday use, for cycling at night
Con: rechargeable only works with Black Diamond NiMH batteries, and not with other brands such as Panasonic, Energizer.... light output from alkaline is rated at 300 lumens, but NiMH is only 175 lumens but still good enough for cycling at night in the city. Construction quality is light and plastic, so quite fragile compared to other metal brands such as Nitecore.
I have a few headtorches. This is my second black diamond headtorch. I have read the reviews here and I feel that the price this a great torch. It's not the brightest one i own...but my criteria for purchase was battery life. And this torch excels in that department. I love the versatility of recharging this unit using my battery pack or ANY USB charger. That's a great feature for me. The torch is very light weight and fairly comfortable to wear around camp and waking around. It's fair to say that this torch excels in the output to battery life ratio.
Also amazing service from Snowys. I have been raving to my friends and family about the service. They are that good!!
I get laughed at by my fishing peers who have far better headlamps in terms of available light. sure the battery lasts a while but only on very dim settings. lucky i don't catch too many fish. i bought 3, one is ruined cos i wore it in the rain. The red light is completely useless due to lack of power.
Sorry to hear that your mates are getting stuck into you about your new headlamp... I take it they didn't appreciate the romantic dimmer setting?
Please give us a call on 1300 914 007, hopefully we can work something out so your mates can go back to taking the mickey out of your fishing skills. Laine :)
Great for around the camp site. Rechargeable - so less spare batteries to carry.
No memory fuction for dimmed light settings.
Good amount of light
Lasts a long time on each charge
Used for motorcycle camping
2nd one purchased, love them, great battery life on rechargeable batteries, great for camping /hiking/ working with hands. I'm sure there are brighter ones out there theses days but the rechargeable batteries are a plus for me
Not the brightest headlamp but good enough for my purposes and very easy to use and maintain.
Note that it doesn't go to it's brightest setting when you first turn it on. You need to hold down the main button briefly to get a brightness boost.
This headlamp is quiet okay.
The housing doesn't look very solid and the light is not that bright. For working into the camp or cooking it might be for some people not bright enough.
At least the USB-Charger is very nice, this is the biggest advantage.
