Reversed lids1 answer

Hi. We had the lids changed on the fridge. Seems that the cover has the opening for vents/ compressor side, only on one side. How's that suppose to work? Thanks

A - Blackwall, NSW (4 years ago)

These covers come in sections which means when you reverse the lid, the section of the cover that goes on the lid reverses with it. You can see detail in our video here - https://youtu.be/JIXqWFB-NKk.

Are the CFX3 covers insulated?1 answer

Are the new Dometic CFX3 75DZ protective covers insulated? Do they increase the efficiency of the fridge or are they just to prevent scratches etc in transit? The old mode covers look like they were insulated but it’s not clear whether these ones are

Peter - Clayfield, QLD(5 years ago)

G'day Peter,

They're padded more so than insulated and are primarily designed to protect the fridge.
There's no claim to fridges covers improving efficiency, and oftentimes they can work in reverse. The old models were also padded as opposed to being properly insulated, with the same intended purpose of protection.
In terms of efficiency, you can improve this by being conscious of where your fridge is located, air flow, shade, etc and the set temp, how many times you're in and out of it. Pre-cooling your fridge at home on 240v power and relying on 12v to maintain it is also a good tip for efficiency.

Insulation or protection only?1 answer

Does this insulate as well or just protect? Is there an insulation bag for this fridge?

Wayne - 2000(6 years ago)

G'day Wayne,

The CFX3 Protective Covers have some EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) insulation to help provide protection and insulation to your CFX3 fridge. These are the only covers on the market for the CFX3 range.

Does this cover fit the CFX75DZW fridge (previous model)? Or is Dometic making new covers for old model similar to this design as it seems far superior to older fridge cover.
