Is the base wide enough on this for use on the Coleman hyperflame, if not how about the 2.5lt version
G'day Daniel,
You can use the Popup 1.5L Kettle on the Coleman Hyperflame, however it is quite a close fit. Given the heat output and size of the Hyperflame we'd generally recommend the larger 2.5L version, just to ensure you don't accidentally damage the kettle.
Does this kettle have a whistle that lets you know when it’s boiled?
G'day Tim,
This kettle doesn't have a whistle, however you can check out our current range of whistling kettles HERE.
Will you be stocking the grey colour anytime soon?
G"day Michelle,
Unfortunately, we're no longer able to get our hands on the Grey coloured Kettles.
Using gas stove top
G'day Helen,
It will depend on the heat output and weather conditions at the time, but you'll most likely need approximately 10 minutes or so.
Is the 1.5L big enough to use on the coleman 3 Burner Eventemp stove or do I require the 2.5L
G'day Steven,
You can use the 1.5L Popup Kettle on the Coleman 3 Burner Eventemp stove, you'll just want to use it on a fairly low flame to make sure that the flame doesn't lick up the sides of the kettle and risk damaging the silicone. The 2.5L is a few centimeters larger, so it you're worried about the silicone you could go for the larger one and just pop a little less water in there if there are only a couple of you needing hot water.
Could this be used to heat up milk for coffee? How easy is it to clean inside if the milk happens to burn?
G'day Jane,
We probably wouldn't suggest heating up milk in the 1.5L kettle as there is the risk of it catching on the bottom if you're not stirring it, but if you did give it a crack you can take the lid off the top and get your hand / a sponge / a dishwashing brush in the opening.
The bottom should be magnetic for it to be used on induction cooktop.
I tested the material with a magnet Imelda, but no luck sorry, this one isn't going to work on an induction cooktop.
