Can two sleeping bags be zipped together to form a double sleeping bag
G'day Paul,
This sleeping bag model is discontinued so I can't double check for you, but from looking at the Q&A's from the past, it seems that you can zip two bags together if you lay them on top of each other and zip around the edge.
The updated model (which you can see here) can also be joined together to form a double, but again you lay one on top of each other and zip around the edges.
Can the C0 be zipped together with the C-3 to make a couples bag with a warmer top layer?
G'day Rick,
You sure can zip these 2 bags together, as the zip is continuous from the side to the bottom. You just lay one on top of the other, and zip them together around the edge.
Is this sleeping bag 100cm width zipped up, so if I unzip it and use it as a quilt it would be 200cms in width? Thanks
G'day Samantha,
Yep that's right, when you unzip the Pilbara C0 it should measure 200cm in width.
Hello, I know this is one of your best selling sleeping bags. I was considering this vs the Mudgee -3 for my wife and not sure what to pick. She's getting into camping this year. I think she will also prefer to join 2 sleeping bags together and i'm not sure if the Mudgee will be versatile as this is one is. What would be your recommendation ?
Hi Jay,
There are certainly plenty of options to choose from! If you will be wanting to zip 2 sleeping bags together to make a double then don't get the Mudgee -3, as the only way to zip them together will result in someone having the hood on their face! Can I suggest the Coleman Pilbara -3?
It has a bit of extra warmth for the colder nights with a removable fleece liner, so is really versatile for year round camping. I have this one myself and have used it for both summer and winter camping, it's great!
Although I will admit it wasn't warm enough on one particularly chilly night in the Flinders Ranges... but generally speaking it's a great all-rounder :) I hope this helps!
Just reading online that this might not be warm enough. Thanks!
Can these sleeping bags be washed in a washing machine ? If I joined 2 bags together to make a double, do you have a stuff sack /storage bag that it would fit in ?
I've had some sleeping bags in the past, where they zipped together nicely into a double sleeping bag. Would this model be able to do that?
