This model features a push-button piezo ignition for easy lighting and will fit with most generic screw type isobutane gas canisters. With 35 lux illumination, this lantern provides excellent brightness for that extra luxury when you’re on the trail. It’ll also radiate a bit of heat to warm up your fingertips when it’s cold out.

Do you stock replacement mantles for this lamp?

G'day Scott,

The Companion Active Hiking Mantle should do the trick with the Observer Gas Lamp. We've not been able to give it a whirl ourselves but based on customer feedback these should be a good fit.

kovea replacement mantles1 answer

do you stock the replacement mantles for this product? "small dual tie". I've looked at the primus and gasmate ones and they don't seem to come in small size with 2 openings.

Thanks for getting in touch, we were under the impression that these mantles had been discontinued, but I have found out that we can still get them. I actually have a pack of two sitting here on my desk now. If you wanted to go ahead just respond to this email and we can get a special order sorted out for you.

It's always better to be safe than sorry! The Kovea Observer Gas Lamp does come with a plastic case that protects it when not in use.
