If you’re serious about mountain biking, then you’ve got to be serious about hydration. It’s easy to see why the Mule has become one of Camelbak’s most iconic models, as it gets the balance between size and features just right.
The narrow design of the Mule helps to keep you light on the trail, so it’s never going to be cumbersome when you’re out on a ride. Featuring the newly improved 3 litre Crux reservoir, which delivers 20% more water per sip and is easier to clean - you’ll be able to stay hydrated on a full day of adventure. The air-director back panel channels hot air to your back to keep you from getting overheated on your ride, and the harness is ventilated and cushioned for maximum comfort.
The built-in helmet carrier will keep a helmet secure, and won’t interfere with the rest of your gear, while the separate zippered compartment has space for all your smaller items for easy organisation. For bigger items, the stretch overflow compartment will accommodate your extra gear, and if you need to streamline you can cinch everything down with the compression straps. The go-to pack for serious cyclers - the Mule will keep you cool, comfortable and hydrated on all your outdoor exploits.

Is this bag for unisex? My husband is 175 cm and approx 75 kg so I was wondering whether it's going to be too narrow for him?
G'day Rini,
Thanks for your enquiry. The Camelbak Mule 3L Hydration Packs are not gender specific and come with an adjustable sternum strap so you should be able to fit the pack to be most comfortable for your frame. Feel free to give us a call on 1300 914 007 to have a chat with our support staff- they should be able to help out with any questions you
Hi, is the total capacity 9L or 12L (3 9L)?
G'day Tara,
The Mule 3L has 9L of cargo capacity and bladder capacity of 3L. I've just doubled checked the tag and they list 12L as the total capacity.
Hi, I was just wondering if this colour was hi vis? Thank you
G'day Elizabeth,
The Camelbak Mule is currently available in a few bright colours like the Sulphur Spring and Atomic Blue but they're not technically "high viz" from a work safety point of view.
The new bladders have a smaller handle. Will the pack still fit the old bladders?
G'day Nick,Â
We've just tried this ourselves, and the 3L Antidote bladder (though the 1.5 and 2 should be the same) definitely fits in the new model MULE Hydration Pack.Â
